Haleigh Update: Mother of Haleigh’s Stepmom in Putnam Jail

The mother of the woman who put Haleigh to bed before she disappeared is behind bars in Putnam County.

The sheriff’s office arrested 40-year-old Lisa Carmen Croslin on two felonies and a misdemeanor Wednesday afternoon.

This stems from an incident where she and her son, Hank Thomas “Tommy” Croslin Jr., went to the home of a former neighbor who is blind and asked to use his phone at 4 a.m. in late August. It was at that time that Lisa Croslin took a number of the man’s checks and later wrote one for $400 and Tommy Croslin allegedly stole the man’s gun.

Tommy Croslin is out on bond for his charges with the caveat that he not leave the county.

Lisa Croslin was arrested in Nashville and was held on $100,000 bond for the charge of being a fugitve from justice. She was extradited from Tennessee and is now being held in the Putnam County Jail.

Croslin is the mother of Misty Croslin-Cummings, the teenaged stepmother of Haleigh Cummings.

The 5-year-old girl vanished on the night of February 9 at her home in Satsuma. Misty Croslin-Cummings said she put Haleigh to bed.
