Caylee's Pink T-Shirt - Big Trouble Comes in Small Packages

Post by Piper on Mon Oct 19, 2009 9:39 pm

Does anyone have any thoughts on the significance of Caylee's picture in Lee's depo?

This is the color picture...

Piper, I have not yet had an opportunity to read Lee's depo (I'm STILL working on Cindy's!), but I think it is probably because Caylee is wearing the "Big Trouble Comes in Small Packages" shirt in that pic....

I don't know...Looks like she was wearing that "Big Trouble" t-shirt...and who is she pointing to?...putting the finger on the photographer, none other than TMOY...

Snaz...can you use your magic powers and post a still picture of Caylee from the Father's Day visit at the nursing home next to this picture?

I'm just curious how old she is in this picture.

Sweet...thanks Snaz. I'm going back to review Lee's answers in regards to this particular photo they asked him about. Same for Cindy's. I wanted to compare length of her bangs, hair, etc. Look at that angelic face.

You've got the touch, Snaz! Thanks again.

You're very welcome, Piper!

Definitely the same shirt.... although she looks younger in the pic with the pink shirt than the Father's Day video... wouldn't she have outgrown that shirt by that time? Could they have had more than one?

I think Caylee was a little younger in the Big Trouble pic, than the pic of her on Father's Day in the blue shirt.

Ok, my computer froze during my search thru Lee's depo...imagine that. The first time they present the picture to him on pg 366 Lee answers to the question - have you seen this before?
Lee's answer: No, not this picture or this being a part of a picture is not something I recognize. I've never seen a picture of Caylee like that before.

Page 371 Lee is asked about the shirt: He claims he can't read the letters and that he's color blind.

Page 385 is a copy of the picture, Exhibit 2.

Why does he say a part of a picture?

wow.. you gals are GOOD... that pic must be the one they showed GA in the depo and SPECIFICALLY asked if that was the shirt he saw caylee in the morn of the 16th... he said prior it was a pink shirt, OF COURSE, he cant describe it, but since the info on THIS shirt being found with the remains, he is SURE it wasnt this particular pink shirt...

i hope they ALL go directly to jail where they belong,.. there is only one thing as bad as being a child murderer. ... and that is covering up for one...

Piper, I think he was insinuating the possibility the pic had been cropped.... and came from a larger pic....

Snaz, you mention above about there being more than one of these shirts (because of the length of time she had it). I used to buy my girls shirts a little larger so they could wear them longer. This may have been the case here with this one. Also, I remember that age.. 2-3 yrs old. For some reason, children that age seem to grow upwards and are able to wear those sizes longer. (If that makes any sense, lol)

Yeah, you're right, Fysty. I used to do the same thing.... I don't know why I didn't think of that!!! I guess it's been too long since I had one that little..... sigh.....

Post by randilynn on Tue Oct 20, 2009 5:25 pm

well.. that is THE shirt alright....
and int he cropped version it looked big on her, i had the habit also when my little one was well.. little, to buy her clothes a bit big for two reasons... one, she was MUCH more comfy while romping about, and two.. so i didnt have to buy new ones a week later.

BUT.. we already knew that caylee was wearing this shirt when she was dumped, so obviously she owned one, OTHER than for our shock of seeing her alive in it, i dont see the TRIAL relevance in there being a pic of her in the shirt.. am i missing something.??

Cindy is shown in her depo the shirt above on the left and was asked:
Do you recall Caylee having a shirt like that:

Cindy: It wasn't very often that she had, like writing or -- on T-shirts. It looks kind of familiar, but I can't say for certain. It wasn't anything she wore, you know, if she had something like that.
She then went on to say she doesn't remember ever washing a shirt like that, the shirt's not something she would buy.

Cindy is then shown the apparent "cropped picture" with Caylee and she answers:

No, I've never seen that picture before. Yes, it looks like Caylee. I can't tell you where this was taken.

I've just been trying to figure out why LE was showing them the cropped picture. They were questioning Cindy on Caylee's clothes sizes that were in the house. The Big Trouble shirt found with Caylee's remains had a 3T tag still attached, can be seen from the doc dump release. I don't know the relevance of it either, that's why I asked because there has to be a reason they were only showing the Anthony's a "cropped" picture. Then found today at Blink that the full picture was front cover on the Globe October 20, 2008.

Piper, my personal opinion about why they showed a cropped version of the picture is because I think the SA knew the A's would deny having ever seen Caylee in that shirt (and Cindy that she even owned one like it)... Remember the A's have all said they don't believe Caylee is really dead....

I'm thinking the A's did not realize that picture existed.... once she were shown the pic, Cindy had to admit it was, indeed, Caylee.... The SA will have the full picture at trial showing Caylee in the shirt which was found at the remains site... and she is WITH KC in the pic.... I think it is simply another case of catching the A's in a blatant lie.

Do we know if they showed CA the picture of just the shirt before they showed her the cropped version of the picture?

I hope I explained what I was trying to get across.... and I could be completely off base!!!

Boy was I wrong...I didn't know that Crazy was holding Caylee in the above photo...I wonder what she's pointing to...She was cute as a button...It is a shame her light was snuffed out so soon...There will be justice for her...

Exactly, AJ....In my mind Cindy did all of the laundry and she knew every piece of clothing that belonged to Caylee, she more than likely bought all of her clothes, so it seems. She stated in her depo that Caylee only owned two pairs of striped shorts. I think it's odd that a shirt that noticeable could not be recalled by Cindy of all people. Especially since she said Caylee didn't have shirts with words on them, except for the one that says "I got my looks from Mommy"...she stated that in the depo.
