Kronk's Lawyer Says Kronk's Character Has Been 'Assassinated'

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Investigators want to know more about a woman who claims to be a witness in the case against Casey Anthony.



Joy Wray is a former volunteer with Texas Equusearch, the group who helped search for Caylee Anthony, and said she has video that will be crucial to the case.

Wray said she has video from November that proves Caylee's body was not in the woods at that point. She said it backs up the defense teams claims that someone other than Casey dumped the body in the woods.

Casey Anthony, Caylee's mother, is in the Orange County Jail charged with murder in Caylee's disappearance. Caylee's remains were found by former meter reader Roy Kronk last December in a wooded area off Suburban Drive near the Anthony family home.

Wray will meet with a detective Monday from the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

In other news in the case, Kronk's lawyer told WESH 2 that Kronk's character has been "assassinated."

David Evans said he and Kronk are still considering options how to respond.

In new court papers filed last week, Casey Anthony's defense said that information they've uncovered indicates the man who discovered Caylee's remains should have been investigated as a "suspect" in her death.

Much of the information is based on statements from Kronk's ex-wives and estranged family members.

He strongly denies having anything to do with Caylee Anthony other than finding her body.

Evans said they may wait until after Judge Stan Strickland rules on whether any of the information presented by Anthony's defense is relevant and should be introduced in her murder trial.

There is no indication yet on when Strickland will take up the issue.

I don't think I buy this. Does Wray's video show the exact location where Caylee's body was found?

J4A, I have not seen the video..... but I believe it was NOT the exact place where Caylee's remains were found. We all know Caylee there since June, so if it was the EXACT spot.... well, Caylee would have to be there.....

Joy Wray is just a slimey Anthony supporter and willing to lie to help them. But I'm sure the State will nail this so called video and her testimony down so tightly, JB will wish he never heard of JW.

november.. seriously.. i would venture to guess that her video is of the same location as JH's video of DC poking the ground with a stick!!..(wasnt that also in nov?) they were all looking there, with the pavers... what a HUGE coincidence!!!

There's also a video I saw where this woman is telling a reporter she used the courthouse day care for her child so she could work on this letter for the Judge! I'll try and find a link to it. WOW!

OK, here she is again. She used the courthouse daycare because she had "to get the letter done".
Not only has this woman been Baker Acted 5 times, and injected herself into the Caylee Anthony case, she needs to worry about her own family and children. There are allegations of her hubby and abuse against their own children.
I don't know the depth of her relationship with the Anthony's, but hail, even the A'S have to see this woman is completely off her rocker. I can't imagine they want her "help". Looking at posts she has made at other forums and seeing her MySpace page, etc, it is SO clear, she is one sick puppy. I would bet Jose is praying she will go away. But I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Does anyone have any idea what the judge does with things like this? Would he just "file it" in the file or address her in some way?

I've been thinking about this Joy character. And I don't think there is any way either side will call this nut job for any reason. I think it would be near suicide for either side to try and use this person for ANY reason. I think both sides involved, have done enough research on her to know she is WAY unstable and would do only damage.
Heck, just with what I have seen myself, I can see she is wacko and wouldn't be seen as credible in any way, shape or form. So, I imagine the insider's have much more info on her than is public to know she's "out there".

Stupid legal question: Does being "Baker Acted" in the past preclude one from testifying if called? If so, would that include George? Or would it simply be up to the jury to determine if her/his testimony was believable? kh

Thanks kh. That article is pretty funny. Seeing that Joy doesn't seem to be in touch with reality makes me wonder if she is a distant relative of the Anthonys.

I read the OCSO interview....Boy Oh Boy...I cant wait for her to take the stand. ...Sooo she became friends with Cindy??? In my opinion she just wants to ride the cash cow and get her 15 minutes of fame....Doesn't seem like her elevator goes to the top floor...The prosecution will have her in such a dither she won't know which end is up...She'll probably have to be Baker Acted again....She's the one in la-la land...No wonder Mr. Baez didn't want her photos...

kh, being "baker acted" does not in any way preclude further testimony. the believability of any witness is subject to the jury.

and i TOTALLY see the defense calling this nutjob. she is sooo set on interjecting herself onto this case, she would probably even tell the jury she saw caylee's murder, and it wasnt KC. dont worry my fellow justice seekers. her letter is submitted to the court, and now public record. and when/if she is called, the state will rip her to shreds with it.. i can see it now..

"miss wray, is what you are telling this court is that you did a VERY thorough search of the area where caylee's remains were found? is that what you are telling us ma'am?"
"yes sir, and she was not there."
"are you telling this court that you searched the area SO thoroughly that you are CERTAIN that there was not a BUG?? not one bug?" "in your letter you claimed there were NO bugs, or birds. are you testifying here, under oath today, that there were no bugs?"

"well miss wray, if you cannot find ONE BUG in this entire area you claimed to search, how could anyone expect you to find bones the size of the bugs that you could not find?'

This woman is truly out of her mind. She continues to add to her story, next thing you know she will have witnessed Caylee's murder. Baker Act her again, she's crazy. ValHall's piece was hilarious, thanks kh.

And minus the birds and the bugs, no foul smell on July 18th either!

So between the end of October and November 8th, she notices a smell she has never smelled before....if LE hadn't already concluded her as a nutcase she would a suspect.

I went to utube and found a video that Joy made early on. There were no comments which tells me that she didn't get the attention she thought she would so she had to think of ways to attract attention to herself. The video is pretty factual and leads you to believe she questions Casey's involvement. There were no comments, so I left one, and she has sent TWO replies, one on the 17th and one on the 18th. She seems desperate and lonely, how sad to have children and feel the need to play games involving oneself in a murder case.
