Hearing 1-26-10 - Removed from Calendar

There is a second hearing scheduled for Tuesday, 1/26, at 1:30 p.m. to address motions. I will post discussion threads for both Monday's and Tuesday's hearings.

Snaz....I see that the case numbers are different....What is that significant of???

Estee, the first entry on the list was for the 1/25 trial in the check fraud case (2008-CF-013331-A-O Casey M Anthony). The second entry was for the 1/21 hearing in the murder case (2008-CF-015606-A-O Casey Marie Anthony). The third entry, 1/26, is apparently a hearing in the murder case.

BTW, they obviously have not updated the court calendar since the 1/21 hearing is canceled and the 1/25 entry is a hearing regarding the check fraud case rather than the trial.

I wonder who John Adams is??

I can't find much on John Adams besides this page.

Is he presiding over Tuesday's hearing instead of Judge Strickland?

J4A, it appears so, if I read the court calendar correctly.... but isn't that weird?

Also, the link you posted.... it gives his judicial assignment up through 2007, when he was a Circuit Judge in the Civil Courts, and before that in the Criminal Courts....... I wonder what type of judge he is now. That might give us a clue.....

Snaz, I was wondering why it didn't give his current judicial assignment. I couldn't find anything more current unfortunately.

This still doesn't tell us much, but here is the info listed within the court calendar under "Other Events and Hearings":

01/26/2010 Hearing (1:30 PM) (Judicial Officer Adams, John H, SR)

This has me very puzzled.....

probably more trickary by the scheme team..

maybe they are asking to have strickland recused, ... i suppose you could make the argument that his loaded statement in the beginning "the truth and miss anthony are strangers" could show judicial bias??

The 1-26-10 hearing has been removed from the court calendar, so I guess it is a no-go.

I have no idea what that was all about. I haven't seen too much about it.
