Well, THAT was a waste of time... just like I thought it would be... JVM sure does make excuses for the defense. And Jane, KC was NOT sobbing today.....
Sheesh!!!!!
kh, I posted links to the complete hearing on the original hearing thread for 1-25-10, in case you want to check it out.

Sorry Jose, but anyone who murders their child should be treated as public enemy number one.
He says it's taking a long time because he is doing a thorough job. What he's doing is stalling. He should be focused on meeting all of the court's deadlines, but instead he's interviewing everybody from Roy Kronk's past and trying to dig up dirt on him. Pinning Caylee's murder on Kronk isn't going to fly. Bozo is living in fairyland if he thinks anybody is going to believe that Kronk somehow stole Casey's car, broke into the Anthony home and stole their duct tape and garbage bags, kidnapped Caylee from the fake nanny, murdered her, and stuffed her body in the trunk.

J4A--yeah, LOL, he probably emptied out the fake nanny's apartment too, and made it look like nobody lived there for months.

Re: Baez on JVM 1-25-10
Some questions/comments:
1. If KC was so remorseful and always intended to plead guilty, why did she originally plead NOT guilty and cause the State so much unnecessary expense??
2. Jose, a bra IS lingerie........
3. SHE has had to "endure"????? What about what little Caylee had to endure?
4. KC IS public enemy #1!!! And the State is prosecuting her because she murdered her daughter.... not because they feel pressure from the public to do so...
5. Notice how JB just completely bypasses JVM's questions about the tattoo, the beer, etc... and goes right on to ramble about other crap.
6. JB is NOT asking for fair treatment.... he has asked for special treatment every time we turn around.
7. JB says no plea bargain in the murder case.... YAY!!! Let her go to trial and be convicted by a jury.....
8. Love what Mark Eiglarsh had to say... laid it on the line that KC only pleaded because she was caught red-handed... and there was no way out.
9. Janie Weintraub said the felony convictions would have no bearing on the murder trial. But I was under the impression that they absolutely will if the trial reaches the penalty phase, especially.... anyone?
10. The convictions won't affect KC's credibility????? She never had any from the moment she opened her mouth to LE and began her lying....
11. I actually hope they bring Jill Kerley in to testify.... The State will eat her up and I think the jury will be angry at the defense for even trying such a stunt. The only bad part of that is how it will affect RK.
12. Is the defense trying to string this out???? Does a bear take a poop in the woods????
One more thing..... I absolutely HATE the way JVM panders to JB...... I think it might be so he will keep coming back to her show..... because her comments to those who believe KC is guilty are very different than when she speaks to JB.....it's all about the ratings.
OK, I'm done......

Jose Baez: No plea bargain in Casey Anthony's murder case
By Hal Boedeker, Orlando Sentinel
9:42 a.m. EST, January 26, 2010
There won't be a plea bargain in Casey Anthony's murder case, defense attorney Jose Baez told HLN's Jane Velez-Mitchell Monday night.
Velez-Mitchell asked if Anthony's pleading guilty to 13 felonies in a check-fraud case Monday could be a precursor to a plea bargain in the murder case. Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.
"Absolutely not," Baez told Velez-Mitchell. "Casey Anthony is not guilty. She's pled not guilty, and this is going to trial."
Velez-Mitchell wanted to know more about Baez's referring to his client as unpopular during Monday's hearing. The HLN host cited a reason for that unpopularity: Anthony's baffling behavior when her child was missing.
"I understand people's concerns about the facts that are reported," Baez said. "I understand that completely. But Casey Anthony is presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty in a court of law. That has not happened, and she's entitled to the presumption of innocence just like anyone else."
And Baez added: "She wasn't treated like anyone else since the moment she was arrested. And that's all we were asking for."
Velez-Mitchell also brought up the issue of when the murder trial could start. A summer start date had been expected.
But Velez-Mitchell cited the latest developments and said last night: "When will this murder trial actually take place? Could it be five years? That's what prosecutors warned today."
She asked Baez about the prosecutors' complaints about the defense team. "They took shots at you, saying that you've taken your sweet time questioning witnesses and have still not turned over a list of witnesses that you plan to call," she said. "Give me your side of the story there."
Baez replied: "Anyone who's followed this case closely can see that we're doing as thorough a job as we possibly can. We're on the attack 24/7. ... It's an adversary process. ... We don't hold anything personal against the prosecutors. But we're not going to let them run over our client, especially -- we believe in our client's innocence, and we want to defend her life, and that's exactly what we're doing."
A caller was stunned by the idea it could be five years before the trial starts. "Whatever happened to a quick and speedy trial?" the caller asked.
Judge Larry Seidlin, a Velez-Mitchell guest, said, "Time, in this particular case, is on the defendant's side. She needs more time to prepare for her case."

what is with all this innocent crap.... KC is not innocent, and i seriously doubt she has been so for a VERY long time, if ever..
i think the defense feels as though they are helping their client by insistantly proclaiming her "innocence".. i however, feel they are doing nothing of the sort.. i believe it is SERIOUSLY detrimental to her case for them to be spouting the "I" word all the time..
lets just travel to fairyland with bozo for a minute and pretend that KC didnt murder her child...she has done nothing but steal from everyone close to her her entire pointless life, she partied when caylee was "missing", she got a tattoo when she was "missing", she STOLE her friends checkbook and went on a PERSONAL spending spree when she was "missing", she lied to the police when they were trying to help her "find" her daughter, she continues to lie and withold information to this day.. KC and innocent should not even be used in the same sentence. that my friends, is the biggest oxymoron i have ever heard.
