Todd Macaluso Leaves Defense Team After Being Accused of "Moral Turpitude, Dishonesty or Corruption" by the California Bar

I thought he had removed himself back in Feb as stated above...Misappropriated monies...Hmmmm...wonder if that $70 thousand he supposedly contributed to KC's case was accounted for in his activities???

Estee, I think he did verbally withdraw, but I don't think he had gone through the motions of withdrawing until now....

Seems to be a lot of people wondering about that $70K.....

It's pretty safe to say someone would gladly hand over 70k of someone else's money rather than their own. That never made any sense to me to begin with. I hope he gets what he deserves for "misappropriating" those folks hard earned money. He chose vulnerable client (s) that trusted him and didn't feel they had to watch their money. I highly doubt it was his employees. What a sleezebag.

You would think that Macaluso would've stood to make more money by sinking his fangs into Casey............... Stayed with her throughout the trial, written a book afterward....

He probably would have if it hadn't been for that pesky California Bar suspending his license.......

And who's to say he won't STILL write a book at some point???? Nothing would surprise me from his sleazebag type.

im with ya'll ... i want to know EXACTLY where that $70K came from... i always had a hard time believing it was a "gift".. lawyers TAKE your money.. they dont front you $70K..

i HAVE to wonder if that was an entry fee... maybe it was charged by bozo for this golden boy to join the defense, you know, for the potential to make mega $$$ down the road??

this may be the case, as didnt miss lyons talk about how much $$ she has PERSONALLY contributed to the defense.. i think bozo had quite the SCAM going here... "pay me now, and YOU TOO can be part of this HIGH PROFILE case, trust me, you will get it back 10 fold!" talk about ADVERTISING... no one had ever heard of jose baez, or todd whatshisname before this case came along... so far, it has been OVER 2 years of advertising for baez, that wouldnt be a bad deal for $70K IMHO..

It certainly does seem a bit unethical for a client's attorney to donate money and for Lyons to contribute via her 'charity' thingy. It does seem a bit like bribery to coerce Casey to let them handle her high profile case.

Wonder when the sheet is going to hit the fan over this?
