KH said..

" Also, the Arubans are saying the tooth in the jaw bone was a wisdom tooth and Natalee had had her wisdom teeth removed........ so why did it take them all that time to make an announcement? And why do DNA at all if they knew it wasn't Natalee's? This case is just heartbreaking. And I still don't trust the Arubans. kh"

--------------

I didnt read that, thanks for the info...I found some comfort in it..I will believe that Beth and Dave knew the first day, that the chances of it belonging to Natalee were slim to none.. I am pretty sure that they knew pretty close to immediatley that it was not their beloved daughter..

It makes me sick to know that Joran was prolly laughing while watching this on the news ....

Aruba's attorney general, Taco Stein, told The Associated Press that officials do not know how old the bone is or where it might have come from.

"It's anybody's guess," he said. "We're a small island."

Huh?

http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/11/23/...ex.html?hpt=T2

"Beth accepts the forensic conclusions, is emotionally exhausted from the inexplicably long wait, and deeply disappointed in the time and manner in which she learned of the results," said attorney John Q. Kelly.

I kinda think the Holloway's thought the same as a lot of people, if it wasn't Natalee, the dental records would have been a very quick and conclusive answer that didn't drag on for days - even if the public had to wait for the dna tests, the family could have been told immediately that this bone that came from a "young, Caucasian female of European decent" - had a wisdom tooth - Natalee did not.

How many bodies were left on this beach?

After five long years, you would think/hope that someone with a shred of human decency would have infiltrated the rank and file, all the way on up - and someone, anyone, could have done the right thing by Natalee's family.

Just makes me sad.

This jawbone find was doomed to NOT be Natalee the minute the Aruba LE was handed the dental records!

They should have been made to give a full report of their findings completely blind of anything to do with Natalee!....and handed over to the FBI to compare against Natalee's records and DNA. Then the comparison could have been made and I'd have believed them.

They have been covering up anything to do with Natalee since day one...and they will keep on doing that, IMO, because I'm sure there is something really BAD they need to still hide.

Natalee Holloway...six years, no answers

May 30, 2011

Birmingham, Ala (WIAT) It's been six years since Natalee Holloway left an Oranjestad bar with a local boy...and vanished.

Over the course of those six years there has been aching yearning for information. Numerous false clues. Several fake confessions.

For several days, Aruban and Dutch officials thought they had a significant break in the case, but a jawbone washed up on the beach turned out to be another false trail.

While family and friends grieve and wonder what happened to the Mountain Brook teen after she walked into the night with Joran van der Sloot, there have been significant but unsatisfactory developments in the past 12 months.

Still hoping for Justice For Natalee -

I understand Joran had a light moment when hearing of the jaw bone being found on the beach and think if any remains are actually discovered he will respond much the way KC did when Caylee's remains were discovered on Suburban Dr.

Joran claiming (years ago) that Natalee wanted to see the sharks was a horrifying statement and I wondered then if that was the closest to the truth we will ever hear.

It might be the closest to the truth that we will ever hear LCoastMom. Just like with Ms. Anthony, the truth and Joran are strangers.

Natalee Holloway's dad asks court to declare daughter legally "dead"

By Crimesider Staff

(CBS/AP) BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The father of missing Alabama teen Natalee Holloway is asking a court to declare his daughter dead, six years after she went missing during a graduation trip to Aruba.

Dave Holloway, Natalee's father, filed the request in probate court earlier this summer, but court officials said Wednesday it could be months before any decision is reached.

Natalee Holloway's Mom: Daughter Not Dead

By COLLEEN CURRY
Sept. 22, 2011

The mother of Natalee Holloway, an Alabama teen who disappeared in Aruba six years ago, will fight a petition by the girl's father to declare Natalee legally dead.

Beth Holloway will go to court Friday to challenge her ex-husband Dave Holloway's petition for presumption of death, filed in probate court in Birmingham, Ala., in June. Natalee Holloway vanished on May 30, 2005, more than six years ago, at age 17.

Maybe the bio father has an insurance policy on Natalee and he is wanting to cash in on it. Beth is not ready to accept the fact that Natalee is dead, and since there is no body, I can understand her feeling this way.

I noticed in one of the comments on that link above, one person said she was another Cindy Anthony. That is absurd! These two women are polar opposites.

What's the point in declaring a person dead? I mean if not for insurance payout....why else would a parent want to do this when they have on proof she is dead? Is it just a way of closing the door on it?

I would never do it!

Judge moves toward declaring Natalee Holloway dead

Posted on Saturday, 09.24.11
By PHILLIP RAWLS
Associated Press

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- A judge ruled Friday that Natalee Holloway's father has met the legal presumption of her death and now it's up to someone to prove she did not die six years ago on a high school graduation trip to Aruba.

Jefferson County's probate judge rejected a request by Dave Holloway's ex-wife, Beth Holloway, not to proceed with steps to declare their oldest child dead.

Natalee Holloway's father wishes daughter were alive, but awaits court to declare her dead

Updated: Monday, November 28, 2011, 8:00 AM
By Eric Velasco -- The Birmingham News

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- The five months since Natalee Holloway's father asked a Jefferson County judge to officially declare her dead have gone like the excruciating 78 months that preceded it: with no proof of his missing daughter's fate.

Lawyers for Dave Holloway don't expect to get the answer their client really wants -- evidence that the then-18-year-old who disappeared on a class trip to Aruba in 2005 is really alive.

Instead, they expect to convene in Probate Judge Alan King's courtroom on Jan. 12, and for the judge to quickly sign an order of legal presumption that she is dead, said Karen Hennecy and Mark White, Dave Holloway's lawyers.

Natalee Holloway Is Dead, Judge Decides

By COLLEEN CURRY
Jan. 12, 2012

Missing teen Natalee Holloway was officially declared dead today in a somber courtroom in Alabama, according to an attorney representing the girl's father.

Judge Alan King signed the declaration following a hearing attended by both Holloway's parents in Brimingham, according to Mark White, the attorney for Holloway's father. The declaration will then go to the Bureau for Vital Records, which will produce a death certificate, White said.

Beth Holloway sat quietly in the back of the court room for the proceeding, according to her attorney John Q. King. She had been opposed to the idea of declaring her daughter dead because she was unwilling to give up the slight hope that Natalee might be alive somewhere, King said.
