I really don't blame her, she is so desperate for answers.

What kills me is that Urine Vanderslut continues to torment Beth and all of Natalee's friends/family.

Something I never understood about OJ was that right or wrong (because I don't have the strength or the energy to debate that now) he was found not guilty of murdering Ron and Nicole. But, if he was innocent, why torment the Goldmans and the Brown's for decades? I mean, he went out of his way to make their life as miserable as humanly possible.

If he was guilty and got away with it, again, why torment the Goldmans and the Browns? It made no sense. That in itself convinced me that OJ had no soul, no conscious, no redeeming qualities as a human being.

Same thing with Joran. He is a sadist. The only gratification he seems to be able to get is by tormenting others. It's just SICK.

Holloway was the keynote speaker at the 10th Annual Women’s Leadership Luncheon, a program of the United Way of Cass-Clay. About 600 women attended Monday at the Ramada Plaza Suites in Fargo.

Holloway, whose daughter, Natalee, went missing in May 2005, said it is her life’s work to promote personal and travel safety. She’s established a foundation to provide resources to families of missing persons. She also wrote the book “Loving Natalee.”

“What happened to her can happen to anyone in this room at any time, at any age, in any place,” Holloway said.

Beth Holloway, mother of missing American teen Natalee Holloway, says she felt compelled to break into a Peru prison to confront Joran van der Sloot, the man suspected in the case of her daughter's 2005 disappearance.

Holloway describes being in Peru to visit the family of van der Sloot's alleged murder victim Stephany Flores Ramirez, 21, when a Dutch news crew offered her a chance to confront the suspect for the first time.

"You know you can't plan on doing something. That [opportunity] presented itself … and it was something that I felt, 'How could I not do it?' " she tells The Insider in an interview to begin airing Friday. "You know, I've traveled all this way."

In the Dutch documentary, Twitty said that van der Sloot reached out to her nearly five years after her daughter disappeared, offering information that would lead to Holloway's remains for the right price.

"I want to do something good," van der Sloot wrote in an e-mail to Twitty's lawyer, John Kelly, according to Twitty. "This is a hurtful situation for all of us and it will stay this way until it's over. I will bring you to Natalee, but the information that comes from me has to remain a secret. In return, I want to receive $250,000. If you're interested, I'll give you more details."

"I'm thinking, OK, if this is the way that I can get her remains, then I'm in," Twitty said.

Kelly, however, was convinced the offer was a scam and asked van der Sloot to Fed Ex him a bone fragment to be tested for Holloway's DNA. Van Der Sloot refused.

Still desperate, Twitty said she paid van der Sloot $25,000, but never received any information. Instead, van der Sloot traveled to Peru where a few weeks later he was arrested and charged in the murder of a 21-year-old Peruvian woman.

The mother of American teenager Natalee Holloway came face-to-face with her suspected killer Joran van der Sloot in a long-awaited prison confrontation.

After five years, Beth Holloway got the chance to confront him over the disappearance of her beloved daughter, who is believed to have died while travelling in Aruba.

She visited van der Sloot at Peru's notorious Miguel Castro Castro jail, where he is in solitary confinement as he awaits trial for the brutal slaying of Peruvian Stephanie Flores.

Hidden cameras followed the brave mother inside the jail and caught the dramatic confrontation.

High-profile Dutch crime reporter Peter De Vries was also involved in the confrontation.

It was first reported on in September that Mrs Holloway had snuck into the prison to confront Van der Sloot - but now footage and what was said has been revealed for the first time.

Prior to the meeting, De Vries had fitted Mrs Holloway with a hidden microphone to capture every word of her conversation. Four more covert cameras were set up in the prison ward's office.

Van der Sloot, 23, was completely unaware he was being recorded and monitored in a nearby room and had no idea Mrs Holloway was visiting. Prison officials had complied with the covert operation.

Bone Found in Aruba Probed for Holloway Link

Forensic scientists in the Netherlands are investigating whether an apparently human jaw bone found on an Aruban beach is that of missing American teenager Natalee Holloway, De Telegraaf newspaper reported Tuesday.

The bone was reportedly found by tourists near the Phoenix hotel on the Caribbean island and handed over to authorities.

The site is close to one of the locations indicated by murder suspect Joran van der Sloot.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (CBS/WIAT/AP) Investigators could know as early as today whether the bone found on a beach in Aruba is the key to solving the five-year mystery of what happened to Natalee Holloway, according to a report.

According to CNN, Dutch forensic experts are testing the piece of bone to determine whether the bone is human before comparing its DNA to that of Holloway.

The Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf is reporting that what appears to be a human jawbone was found by tourists on the beach near the Phoenix Hotel. The site where the bone was found is near one of several locations mentioned by Joran van der Sloot in a series of interviews and "confessions" he later rescinded, reports CBS affiliate WIAT.

De Telegraaf says Aruban Chief Prosecutor Peter Blanken is in the Netherlands but had no comment on the case. Although the age of the bone has not been determined there are reportedly intact teeth on the bone, reports CNN.

Holloway, then 18, disappeared in 2005 while on a high school graduation trip to Aruba. Her remains have never been found, despite extensive police searches. If the bone turns out to be from Holloway, it would be the first concrete evidence of her death.

Netherlands Forensic Institute spokeswoman Inge Oevering said prosecutors in Aruba will announce the results of the tests. She could not say how long the tests would take.

Dutchman Joran van der Sloot is the last person seen with Holloway and is considered the prime suspect in her disappearance. Van der Sloot is in jail in Lima, Peru charged with killing Stephany Flores, a woman murdered five years to the day after Holloway's disappearance.

Van der Sloot has told several people he was involved in Holloway's disappearance, only to later retract his confessions. He has also admitted in interviews that he is a pathological liar.

Aruban prosecutors have said they lack evidence to charge van der Sloot in Holloway's death.

I dont blame Beth for doing anything that she has done...

I hope thys is Natalee so Beth and the family can lay her to rest....

I feel the same, AJ. I pray this is Natalee so her family can FINALLY have some peace in her death. And if it is Natalee, I sure hope they are able to find more than just the one jawbone. However, if they are not, at least Beth and Dave will know for certain that there is no chance their beautiful daughter will come home alive.

Not the ending they had hoped for, certainly, but one I imagine at this point they pray for.

Authorities await DNA test on bone in Holloway case

CNN) -- Investigators now hope to learn Thursday whether a jawbone found on an Aruban beach belongs to an animal or a human.

The tests on the bone were expected to be returned Wednesday but investigators were held up by a technical delay.

If the bone is human, authorities will then attempt to find out using a DNA match whether it belongs to missing Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway, who was last seen on the island in 2005.

It is being evaluated at the Netherlands Forensic Institute in The Hague, Netherlands, Aruban prosecutor Peter Blanken said this week.
