AJ, my feelings about the Gatorade bottle have been mixed because I don't have a clue! I wonder what the connection is, if any. I've also wondered if KC didn't plant it there herself. Then you throw the chloroform factor back in there, combined with chloroform searches. I don't have a theory.....

I can say I've leaned towards the Gatorade bottle not being random trash. Then remember, KC stopped at JG's to take a shower. He said she didn't appear as if she needed one. That was a red flag.

And, I also have a hard time seeing KC mixing up a batch of chloroform. Even though she googled it, she lives in the moment. Fast and furious, quickest and easiest way out. I can't picture her taking the time and precision to concoct it. But then again, maybe she did.

There has been explanations as to why trace amounts of chloroform could have formed in the bottle. Then throw in the neatly wrapped syringe, testosterone and the toilet paper rolls....and I'm back to square one!

As soon as we heard that DC had been video taped 150 ft from the remains in mid november, along with the " clues' he looked for ..3 pavers, and close to the road where we know he told Hoover Caylee was dead and her remains were in those woods.. it was a very unsettling feeling...

Knowing thru the discovery that chloroform was being suspected (as the result of google searches) and that chloroform was found in the trunk....this is what I thought about...

We know that thru the Ants impications, JG and RM were being injected as
"possible" suspects in the Ants minds.. We also know that LE knew better...

On account that it is plausible the remains were found by DC and company, it wud come as no surprise that " planting of evidence" took place..

I personally, I dont even believe chloroform was used in the murder and I found it interesting that the contents of this bottle held both testerone and traces of chloroform..along with a nice and neatly packaged used syringe..

I found it more interesting when the State asked the courts for a stay in releasing some " new: evidence ...

I wondered if the State had found anything belonging to JG ir RM on any evidence..namely the gatorade bottle/syringe..(which wud exculpatory, or so the defense wud hope) or that the State has taken DC under their wing, with a get out of jail free pass for his testimony of exactly what took place at the woods and how he really knew where to look....(we do know that DC appears to MIA)

I do think the gatorade bottle will have a huge impact at the trial in some way..

It wud make sense that this evidence, was put there after the fact as the scene was too consistent with what the state felt took place even down to the syringe and the wrapper...

Also, even if KC did use chloroform, I doubt she injected it... that was another flag...

It wud have been a lot harder to get/make the chloroform and then get the syringe then inject it, over lets say drowning her in the tub or pool where KC wudnt even had to see it and it wud have only taken seconds..

For that bottle to have been found inches away from her remains suggests that it was all part of the crime..especially where testerone was found. I imagine we will hear at the trial of how JG or RM was a steroid taker...

I suspect another crime took place ...tampering, and obstruction....

It will be very interesting watching this trial !

I agree with you entire post, AJ! Very Happy

I like the part I bolded in it a lot! That Gatorade bottle sure didn't look like it had weathered the same storm Caylee and her Pooh blanket and clothes did. It looks too clean and new on the outside. Not any pasted on debris from wet leaves and stuff clinging to it and then drying out on it. And the lid especially, it was groved! Should have been debris collected in those grooves while it sat with Caylee in the water for months. But it was clean.

I lean toward the bottle being planted by DC. I don't think he was in those woods 3 or 4 times just because he had a feeling she was there. JMO

I do believe something, maybe the Gatorade bottle, maybe something else that was found, maybe something that wasn't found, but something was planted by DC or someone else.

I'll take that a step further and say think Baez was aware of it and that's why when the crime scene was being processed Baez was so anxious and determined to get one of his people in there to watch. I think he wanted to see if what was planted was found, because he couldn't just ask about it if no one said anything about finding it. And he was anxious to know if they'd found it or not without having to wait for the discovery to be released.

I remember Baez hinting at a reason why he wanted his people to go watch the crime scene being processed was because they might not consider something important to Casey's innocence and would only bag things that went toward her guilt.

Yep. Something was planted alrighty, in this girl's opinion! Which brings to mind, What if they didn't find it after Baez was counting on it for Casey's defense? What if he's still waiting? What if some anonymous person turned it over to LE just recently?

Piper, I transferred these comments from the Google Search thread to their own thread so we can keep the comments together and not muddy a thread too much...

Re: Items Found With Caylee's Remains

This is confusing, as the original Gatorade pic showed a not entirely pristine Gatorade bottle that when found a contained a murky liquid? IWould have to do side by side pics of evidence from Nov 2009 and the new enhanced photos of the bottle. However, the Gatorade bottle had been enclosed in a World of Disney plastic bag found near Caylee's skull, and that could explain why it wasn't muddied up by the elements.
I believe that the production date can be traced on the Gatorade to show when it was produced and where, etc.
I sure hope that would eliminate someone else putting that there several months after Caylee was dumped there. I am sure that LE had the soil samples tested that were on the bag, etc.
Casey holds many secrets, but hopefully Caylee's voice will be heard through the forensic evidence, ensuring that justice will win.

This is how sick I am when it comes to this case....when the discovery containing the gatorade bottle with the syringe in it was released, I wondered if maybe Casey made some cholorform and injected it so she would be sure that it killed Caylee. I know it is dangerous to make but so is stealing checks. She has no fear when it comes to getting what she wants. So anyway....I BRIEFLY considered trying to make some just to see how hard it would be and how much it would make depending on how much stuff was used......I came to my senses though so I still don't know and still wonder if that is a possibility. Do you guys see how sick I am???? lOL

Dis, you are not sick... I bet you and hundreds (if not thousands) of other people considered seeing how hard it would be to make.... HAHA!!
I'm just glad you decided against it.....

What I have really been wondering about concerning the stuff found with the remains is all the other trash that was reported to be in the area. Why wasn't everything realeased in the doc dump or did I just dismiss it early and only focus on the stuff that was pertinent? Surely there was a lot more trash there if it was a dumping place for idiots that can't find a trash can??? What I'm trying to say is that the gatorade bottle must be part of the states case since it was listed?? Otherwise ALL the trash would be. Or is it? LOL I'm too lazy to look it up and I know one of you braniacs remember.

Dis, I think that there really was not a well-traveled path to that site. With the ever-growing vegetation and part of the time being underwater, it wasn't too likely an easy dump site. I think that there was some "trash" recovered there that was clearly not part of this case, but that stuff could have been there a while. I don't think people would make a trip back to that spot just to toss something - the trash tossers take the fast track. That's what I think - so far.

Does anyone know if there was really a Father's Day balloon found at the site, or was that just rumor?

Lottie:

That was Keith Williams that found a balloon and some other stuff. Here's a clip from Blink on Crime.
August 18, 2008

On the morning of August 18, 2008 Williams went to the dead end portion of Suburban drive nearest the fence opposing the Oaks Elementary School. At the scene, he found a Happy Father’s Day Balloon, a little girl’s sandal, some little girl’s clothing, and a plastic bag filled with stuffed animals. Keith removed the bag from the scene, loading it into his car, and headed for the people he felt could tell him who the contents might belong to; The Anthony’s.
He rang the bell to the Anthony home and was met by Cindy Anthony. He told him who he was, and how he came about finding the possible evidence and location it was found. Cindy looked through the contents of the bag as Keith mentioned the other findings at the scene. She expressed that none of the contents looked familiar and that their family was quite sure that Caylee was alive and had been kidnapped by her nanny, Zenaida Gonzalez. Williams felt he did the right thing by bringing the bag to the Anthony’s and was not satisfied with what appeared to be, in his perception “denial on their part”. He told Cindy he would just get rid of it. He returned to the woods location he retrieved it from in the first place, and called Police.

Thanks Julie!

Here's another clip from the link you provided:

At the scene with Officer Cain, Keith stated that he had been told by a psychic what items would be found there, and that they subsequently were. He specifically pointed out the Father’s Day balloon and other items. Officer Cain felt the items had been there for a very long time and probably unrelated to the case due to roots growing through the bag and the condition of the plastic. He left the items at the scene.

I never read that before that Williams was led there by a psychic! Officer Cain, who responded to the call, verified that psychic claim in his email to the investigators, so what's with these psychics?

And Williams used to work in Security, like George. And his sister, Alison, was friends with Casey.

This is just too much!
