Dang, can't stay, I forgot why I came back on. It was to tell you guys that Melissa Earnest from the doc dump was posting at MD's today. I don't have time to get the link. Sorry. Gotta go.

Julie, Laura Buchanan and Joe Jordan both said they didn't find anything when searching the area where Caylee's remains were ultimately found. There are articles about them at Marinade Dave and The Hinky Meter.

Thanks J4A.

This was the first thing I saw at MD's, so now I don't feel so bad.

Never heard of them? You will.

this is a little interesting.. dont know if it is significant or not, but i just noticed it..

the woman who claims to have seached the area where caylee was eventually found, signed a statement claiming that there was nothing unusual about the area.. no bugs, no water, no ODOR... okay.. it says it contains a hand written list of the things she saw that day that may be pertinent.. on PAGE 86 you see some of the itemized list she was speaking of... it CLEARLY says "odor" .. so.. was there an odor the day of the search, or was there not??

this may be completely insignificant, but then again, it may not... the defense wants to parade these "witnesses" that "searched" this area to show that caylee was not there until AFTER KC was in jail.. well. it would help if they got their stories straight 1st.. IMHO

maybe someone else has some insight... ??

sorry tish.. forgot to include that little detail of who i was talking about.. LMAO.. (sometimes i really to make sense.. in my own head.)

her name is helen davis. she was a volunteer member of TES.. on page 71 she tells in her statement about nothing unusual, no bugs, smell ect. and item #6 references the handwitten notes about what she saw/found.. then those are on page 86.. it clearly states "odor".

here is the link again: http://www.docstoc.com/docs/30927135/James-W-Jawitz---Water-Depth

Randi, good catch.... but how can you tell the word "odor" on page 86 is written by Helen Davis? Maybe I am not getting something..... most likely the case... LOL

I wonder about the date of the two statements... maybe that would explain the difference.

because she refers specifically to her handwritten account of the things that she saw/observed that day in her statement.. and then they have her statement from TES.. (the handwritten part.)

they got that paper from TES.. it was in the file

check page 53-54.. more detailed information about davis and her "stories" that may help put it all together.

AND... is this a "bombshell".. there was a witness that came forward from KCs neighborhood that said she saw KCs car backed into the trailhead off the road where caylee was eventually found.. she stated she saw her car there before her arrest.. this "tip" was apparently given directly to Jim Hoover.. it is also on page 54...

could someone else look at it and tell me if this is old news?? i get sooo confused with all the info in this case. TYIA

Randi, I remember hearing about somebody seeing Casey's car near the location where the remains were found, but I don't remember when or where I saw that. I snipped a few paragraphs from the docs that you linked to.

Carolyn and Bill Todd told us of an incident on Saturday November 8th, 2008 where Bill Todd believes James Hoover came to the EquuSearch command post and provided a tip. Bill Todd was working alongside Brett Churchill under the debrief area tent at the time James Hoover approached. Bill Todd recalled this particular incident only after the remains of Caylee Anthony were recovered and he saw James Hoover on television.

According to Bill Todd, James Hoover came to the command post and told him he had spoken with a young female in the Hopespring neighborhood who indicated she had seen Casey Anthony’s car on Suburban Drive prior to her first arrest in July of 2008. The young female told James Hoover the car was backed up to the trail at the dead end Suburban Drive near the school. James Hoover told Bill Todd he (Hoover) was working for the Anthony family at the time and if they learned he was talking to Equusearch he may be fired.

Bill Todd indicated he wrote this down on the debrief form he completed for James Hoover then gave the form to volunteer Bill Fitzgerald. He doesn’t know what happened to it afterwards. After the remains were located, Carolyn Todd spoke with Jamie Copenhaver and Bill Fitzgerald about this encounter with James Hoover. After searching for this form, they told her the original form could not be found and they asked for Bill Todd to send a fax recounting the incident involving James Hoover so they could give the information to Sergeant John Allen. The Todd’s provided me with a copy of the fax she sent to Tim Miller on January 11th, 2009.

I think it tells you all you need to know about the Anthonys if somebody who was working for them feared being fired for talking to a group that was trying to find Caylee. I'm sure the searches get hectic, but I can't believe Equusearch lost Hoover's debrief form after he stated that he worked for the Anthonys and was putting his job at risk by giving them information.
