The really bizarre thing, Piper, is that this is their daily life! Guns, knives, alcohol, drugs, thieving, secrecy, verbal/physical abuse, CPS visits, dropping out of high school, welfare checks/food stamps and waiting for IRS returns so they can buy minutes on the phone to talk to whoever is in jail at the time (and someone always is!). This is a normal day in the life of this family!

Unfortunately, it is their daily life. It continues from generation to generation. You see it everyday. Children learn from their parents. Good or bad.

On JVM, I heard them not only talking about the yellow rope but also talking about the knife. Thy said Misty showed LE where the knife was thrown in. Also, it was said that Misty killed her by hitting her on the head but that Joe raped her & they got rid of her body.

Who knows what is truth or lies anymore. There have been so many stories. I just hope to God that LE came make head or tails out of this mess.

It seems VERY odd to me that not only would Tommy call grandma & tell her this KNOWING he's recorded but then for Misty to call her 15 minutes later. WTH???

I don't & won't believe any of it until LE tells what is really going on. It seems that they must know much, much more.

Poor HaLeigh. I pray that she gets justice. I was truly hoping that she was alive.

They should polygraph all 3 of them.

Surely to god, Misty did not hit Haleigh in the head and know that Joe raped her, then went to the river and watched them rope and sink her. I just can't make myself think about this...I just don't believe it.

I am totally lost on these new updates.... I thought Misty and Tommy were telling 'what they knew about the Haley case' to get their time reduced on the drug charges.

So, they admit to being involved with killing Haleigh and disposing of her body. They did this because they knew the sentences for that would be less that the drug charges????????????

Well, folks, that is a FACT. My SIL only served 8-1/2 years for stabbing my daughter over 20 times, and kicking and beating her to death. About 2 years after he got out of prison for 'manslaughter" (which is all they found him guilty of because he admitted to be drunk and on drugs and he didn't bring a weapon in the house, he used 4 of her own kitchen knives) he was arrested for selling drugs and weapons and was sentenced to 25 years, which he only had to do 12-1/2 years. More time than he did for murder.

sitema... that is the most ludracris thing i have ever heard.. they all need their (prosecutors) freaking heads examined..

i didnt realize misty was taken to the scene A second time ... she is talking.. she is telling them SOMETHING.. SO HELP ME if they are cutting a freaking deal with her, if she really KNEW what happened to poor haleigh all this time, and never said one word about it.. i am praying for some prison justice on her little ass.

You know Randi, I think they should forgo any prison time and just let Ronald do what he said he would do on the 911 tapes. And then give him an award.

Awe Estee, no worries. There is no way for us to know what really happened until LE lets US know what THEY know. I stuck up for her a few times myself. I'm still not convinced that we know much more than the poor angel is dead. It's too hard for us all to know WHO to believe. I think we all need to hold off on lynching until we get more details, but whomever IS involved should be hung, stones and maybe even turned over to Ron, as someone else posted. Even HE may not have clean hands in this. He DID marry Misty, afterall.

According to that article I posted, there is an ex FBI agent, turned PI, that says he's been working for Crystals mother & HE solved the case.

I did hear LE say in the press conference today that there have been NO DEALS MADE with ANYONE.

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- Haleigh Cummings' great grandmother said despite what police say, she is holding out hope that the little girl is still alive.

On Thursday, Sheriff Jeff Hardy of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office held a press conference and said that Haleigh is most likely dead.

Annette Sykes said even though in her head, she knows Haleigh might be dead, in her heart she believes the girl will come home.

"Until they can bring me something to prove to me that she's not alive, I'll continue to believe that she is," she said.

Sykes said that what the Sheriff spoke about in the press conference is the same information he told the family earlier in the week behind closed doors.

"It's hard to hear somebody tell you your child or grandchild is dead," she said.

Misty Cummings' grandmother has publicly said who is to blame for Haleigh Cummings' death. Haleigh's family, however, said it is hard to believe much of anything anymore.

"We've heard so many lies, I don't know what to believe anymore," she said. "I can't believe anything you don't show me. Show me, just show me. Don't tell me, show me."

Sykes said she leaves the light outside her home on everyday so that Haleigh can find her way home.

I am Joe Overstreet sister,granddaughter of Flora Hollars..Before yall go and start beleiveing all these stories that Joe had somethingt o do with Haleigh yall need to relize who’s stories has cahnged everytime they have talk to someone..Now my Grandmother want ot get involved yall can’t beleive her either she is just out to try and get some money out of people..She is already receiveing money from alot of people in flordia that is the only reason she is talking..One mintue she willl tell Joe that she knows he didn’t do it then turn around and tell Misty and tommy the same thing..Joe is innocent,he had nothing to do with this..He was on vacation and was planned to leave on Feb. 10 2009 just as he did.. He did not just up and leave he talk to the police before he left..Misty nd Tommy and also my grandmother is crazy..Before the law beleives anything that my grandmother flora Hollars say they need to do a drug test on her to make sure she is not doped up and knows what she is talking about… She is only out to try and get a reward… She will change her story just as much as Tommy and Misty will..My brother was just in the worng place at the wrong time..He is a good guy. Tommy and Misty just thinks they will get a pled if they try and blame it on someone else..And also if Tommy made the call to my Grandmother that him and Joe had done that to Haleigh why was that phone call not recorded all the rest of them are..I would not put it pasted my grandmother to make something like that up..She is a very selfish lady that is just out for money and attention…

Update on previous article:

Sources confirmed to Channel 4 that two cinder blocks were pulled from the river. They said they have no information about a yellow rope. The cinder blocks, along with everything else have been sent out to be analyzed.
It is unclear if they are connected to Haleigh's case.

kh, thanks for this video, I embedded it for you. This was very informative, I had not seen this one either. He stated they were in the middle of an intensive search and it was the right time to bring Misty to the search to show her the reality of the situation. That statement kind of tells me she didn't lead them there....jmo. Because he also said she still holds the key to some important information.
