Here are the videos of John Gardner's interview with CBS 8 in San Diego.



Gardner was arrested on Sunday, February 28 for the murder of Chelsea King. He said he wanted to confess to the murders of Chelsea and Amber Dubois on Monday and tell police where their bodies were, but he couldn't get a hold of an attorney. They found Chelsea on Tuesday, and then on Wednesday Gardner said he wanted to plead guilty, but for some reason you have to plead not guilty before you can plead guilty. He claims he led authorities to Amber's body because he felt bad, but the district attorney said there was a deal in place where Gardner taking them to Amber's remains could not be used against him.

Gardner makes it sound like he wanted to confess everything because he felt bad, but lawyers and circumstances kept getting in the way. He claims he tried to commit suicide on February 13, which was the anniversary of Amber's killing. If he felt so bad about killing Amber, why did he threaten to kill Candice Moncayo in December, why did he kill Chelsea, and why did he laugh and say "good try" when he was asked if there were any other victims?

If there are any other victims, I don't think he will confess to those crimes unless police find evidence that links him to those crimes. Once he is busted, he will all of a sudden feel remorse and will probably go on TV and say that he also felt bad about those victims and wanted to confess, but his lawyers wouldn't let him say anything.
