Traffic Camera
I was driving when I saw the flash of a traffic camera. I figured that
my picture had been taken for exceeding the limit even though I knew
that I was not speeding.
Just to be sure, I went around the block and passed the same spot,
driving even more slowly, but again the camera flashed.
Now I began to think that this was quite funny, so I drove even slower
as I passed the area once more, but the traffic camera again flashed
I tried a fourth and fifth time with the same results and was now
laughing as the camera flashed while I rolled past at a snail's pace.
Two weeks later, I got five tickets in the mail for driving without a
seat belt.
You can't fix stupid.

Estee, that sounds a lot like my oldest daughter. She was a straight A student, 4.0 GPA, scored 1580 out of a possible 1600 on her SAT test in the 11th grade. However, she had to look at the tops of her wrist to determine which was left and which was right. Her right wrist had a mole in the middle, so she could determine which was right.
She died at the age of 21, and she still did this for her entire life.

Re: Traffic Camera
Problem solved. What an elegant solution
Here's a solution to end the controversy over full-body scanners at the airports.
Have a booth that you can step into that will not x-ray you, but will detonate any explosive device you may have on you.
It would be a win-win for everyone, and there would be none of this crap about racial profiling and this method would eliminate a long and expensive trial. Justice would be quick and swift. Case Closed!
This is so simple that it's brilliant. I can see it now; you're in the airport terminal and you hear a muffled explosion. Shortly thereafter an announcement comes over the PA system, "Attention standby passengers, we now have a seat available on flight number..."

Gracie, I certainly agree with your suggestion. Why not send this suggestion to the powers-that-be?

Oh Mama nooooooooooooo!! Oh no!! Well at least you quit after five times and didn't go for a sixth, a seventh and an eighth!!
I had a PERFECT driving record up untill recently, THANKS to traffic cameras. It was 5:00 am, noooooooobody was anywhere around, I had just dropped my son at his fast food restaurant job, I was approaching an intersection, the light turned amber, again, nooooooooooobody was around.... Okay, so the light turned red just before I got INTO the intersection but I just thought, "NOooooobody is around" (and I didn't KNOW about traffic cameras...) I rolled on through the empty intersection and something FLASHED in the corner of my eye. I wondered Hmmmm. But our city had done away with Photo Radar Tickets, so I dismissed the flash and carried on.
Four weeks later a ticket arrives in the mail for $167, with photos of my licence plate, the red light and my tires on this side of the crosswalk, next photo? My car IN the intersection, my licence plate AND again the red light.
I told my husband it was HIS fault because HE didn't explain to eva that this city has something called TRAFFIC CAMERAS.
epilogue: I paid the ticket early for $143 and no, I know it's not REEEEEEALLY my husband's fault! But scape goats are handy now and then.......
