Casey's lies - To lie or not to lie
I thought it might be interesting to dissect Casey's stories to try to discern lies from truth, IF she ever told any truths.
I'll start with the lie she told about dropping Caylee off with ZG on June 16th between 9 and 1 and going back to get her after work etc >
She's obviously lying about dropping Caylee off with ZG so that makes picking her up after work also a lie. Since she has no record of working that day, the whole working that day is a lie. But is June 16th a lie?
In her story she implies Caylee was alive on June 16th at some point. But if June 16th is a lie, then was Caylee really alive on that day?
So Casey's story begins with everything being normal and Caylee being fine on June 16th. It's odd to me that everything else in that story is a lie, but not the date!
Why would she NOT lie about the date?

Re: Casey's lies - To lie or not to lie
AJ, I was typing this while you were posting! I have to go feed my tummy, then I'll come back and comment on your post! A very good point you bring up about the 'letter'!
Then we have Casey telling the 911 operator she hadn't seen Caylee in 31 days - taking us back to the June 15/16 timeline. But she changes that to go along with Cindy saying it was a week earlier that Cindy hadn't seen Caylee and Casey agrees that she, too, had not seen her since that date.
Clearly, Casey is flexible as to when she last saw Caylee alive, which could mean 'any day but the real day'.
Cindy, on the other hand, is not flexible outside a three day period between June7 and June 9, until she is approached by LE with the Nursing Home video having been taken June 15th and uploaded onto the computer on June 16th and has to recount the date.
But LE didn't approach Cindy with the Nursing Home video date until August! After which Cindy says she and Casey uploaded that video together the day of the nursing home visit! But it wasn't the day of; it was the day after.
So let's say Cindy got confused over the date of Father's Day. Let's say that's why she assumed the last time she saw Caylee was during that incorrect time frame surrounding the wrong Father's Day date (June 8). But how could she mess up the day she and Casey uploaded the video to the computer and sat around together watching it like two happy people? She said it was a great ole time with her and Casey doing this the day OF Father's Day, not the day after when it was actually uploaded.
Well, Cindy couldn't very well say she and Casey sat around all happy the day AFTER Father's Day uploading the video together because Cindy was at work that day. So for Cindy to be involved in the uploading party, it had to be a Sunday in her mind. But it was NOT Sunday! So why did Cindy feel a need to say she was there when the video was uploaded?
Was Casey, in fact, there when the video was uploaded? Was Cindy, in fact, there when the video was uploaded? Only Cindy talks about the upload and both she and Casey sharing the experience. Well, since it was uploaded on June 16th, I'd say Casey did it that day while hanging around the house -not watching Caylee in real life. And Cindy was not there and her intention in saying she was was to make like she and Casey were not fighting on Father's Day, and Cindy was SO concerned with promoting that agenda she carelessly disregarded the actual date the video was uploaded.
So, if Cindy deliberately lied about sharing the uploading experience with Casey, and if Casey was uploading the video of Caylee like she was still into giving a crap about Caylee, then what changed so rapidly?
I think June 16th is a lie! And George also making such particulars about that day, it seems possible Caylee died at that house on the 15th while the denied fight was going on!
Add in the 'rumor' that George comes home and gets in a fight with Casey and throws her on the wall and Cindy has to pull them apart. According to Lee, Casey says it was Cindy who choked her. Did they both fight with Casey that night over something she did to Caylee on the 15th?
Did Caylee ever make it back to Hopespring after being at the Nursing Home?

Re: Casey's lies - To lie or not to lie
Quote from AJ ( my quote button is missing!)well actually amongst all the lies.. I guess in chronilogical order in her citing of the chain of events.. we have to consider that the first problem was she had actually said it was Jun 9 that this had taken place on...
Also.. just want to add that on account of her letter (imo purposely written to get out to the public).. she adds a new twist in the letter where she tells Robyn that the Nanny had Caylee and it was for a few days as she was needing some time so that she cud get things together so the 2 could move out... Sounds like the introductiuon that KC didnt report her missing as she didnt know she missing so wud just have to take a hit for being irresponsible .. i bet she will change her story again to say that she never went bak to the sawgrass and never spent time looking for her as she didnt know she was missing... in other words she kind of abandoned her assuming Caylee was in good hands when infact ZFG must have done a pay bak thing on account that kc wasnt looking after Caylee very well.. byut she will swear she had no idea she had been killed...lol
She wrote that in the letter for a reason for sure! And it may well have been to retract what she'd said earlier about having worried about Caylee at all.
Casey, though, has never really mentioned being afraid from the beginning, like from June 16th. Even on that day she claims she figured all was ok and she went to a 'neutral' place. But 'Neutral' implies everything was NOT ok. It implies she went somewhere where no one has issues with her, therefore she was having issues with whomever was keeping Caylee.
Then she doesn't really go looking for Caylee at all....so in comes the letter that explains why. Someone was keeping Caylee while she moved out. And she doesn't realize anything is wrong until when? She doesn't say, just implies it was a few days later.
She's telling in that letter that she was moving out and Caylee was with the nanny for those days so she could do that. Then the nanny apparently didn't give Caylee back. Take that and plug it into the week prior to and after June 8 where Casey was staying with Ricardo sometimes with Caylee, and trace the days this way....
Casey had Caylee at Ricardo's off and on during the week of Cindy's vacation prior to June 8th, sometimes overnight, up till June 10th when Ricardo claims Casey and Tony became an official couple. Caylee was seen over there at Tony's after that but his roomies say they heard Casey talking to Cindy on the phone and having to take Caylee there for the nights. No one there saw Caylee again after June 13 or 14th.
So it looks like Casey was staying other places with Caylee in the weeks before the poor kid died! Almost like Casey was attempting to move out, or just keep Caylee from Cindy. But Cindy got her back for the trip on June 15th...so when did Cindy get Caylee back?
Did Cindy have Caylee that entire weekend? And is that what Casey is going (and has started via the letter) to say as she throws Cindy under the bus?

lottie.. my quote button is missing too, and my reply box that use to be so conveniently placed at the end of the forum..
many of you have made some GREAT points about the letters. i do not believe for ONE SECOND that the defense would have let them go so easily if they had not been a part of her writing them in the 1st place. i think she was most definately put up to writing them.
i also am on the bandwagon that KC is going to try and throw everyone BUT herself under the proverbial bus, and if that means GA and CA, to her, so be it. KC has MANY sociopathic traits, and i doubt that she feels ANYTHING for her parents anyways. it would be a minor loss for her to get her partying days back, and heck, with the 130,000 dollars still left unaccounted for, i bet she could just get herself that house that she has been loathing for....

Re: Casey's lies - To lie or not to lie
I have to stand with Val at the HinkyMeter on this one........
There are two-hundred thousand and thirty-one reasons that Casey is guilty:
1. Casey never helped the police, in fact she hindered their investigation. During the time she was in jail and out on bond (on the condition that she helped find her daughter) she brokered a deal for $200,000 (and that's American dollars). NONE of this money (zero, zip, nada) went toward finding Caylee OR the alleged nanny that kidnapped her. ALL of this went to paying for Casey's own defense.
2. Casey waited 31 days to report her daughter missing. In fact, she never even did that, her mother did.
200,000 + 31 = GUILTY!

If Casey is a sociopath (and I think she is) Cindy should never have told the stories about what and where Casey said Caylee was those days as if she believed them. It will only help the sociopath/Casey if she tries to throw Cindy under the bus.
Never trust a sociopath! NEVER!

Re: Casey's lies - To lie or not to lie
AJ, since the nursing home has the sign-in log, I am pretty certain the authorities know for sure what date CA was at the nursing home... the logs say Father's Day, June 15, 2008. I, personally, don't have any doubt she was there when the logs say she was.
Cindy said she didn't see KC and Caylee the morning of the 16th, but she knew they were in KC's room sleeping, "because she could hear them through the door." HUH? Does she have some magic powers or what??
George first said he was watching his cooking show when KC and Caylee came out from the bedroom and left.... he knew "for darn sure" it was 12:50 p.m. Later, he changed his story to include having fed Caylee breakfast that morning, "sharing his bagel with her." And yet in a third story, he says he walked out to KC's car with them as they left, and "stood by the door as KC put Caylee in her car seat." He throws in that he gave Caylee some pretzels.
If they loved Caylee the way they want us all to believe they did and they WEREN'T trying to protect KC, Cindy and George would know "for darn sure" the date of the last time the saw Caylee......
Also, the reason Cindy missed work around July 3 is because she was on vacation. And apparently, she was peeved that KC wouldn't bring Caylee to the house so she could spend some time with her....
One other thing, even if KC tries to use the excuse that she wasn't worried about Caylee being missing because she wasn't missing... that she had given Caylee to "Zanny" to keep for a couple of days while she got things together in preparation for the two of them to move out or whatever, she still has a ton of explaining to do. The infamous blue party dress picture was taken on June 20, 4/5 days AFTER Caylee was last seen alive by anyone other than her mother..... and she is obviously not worried about anything that night.
What this all boils down to for me is that KC, George ad Cindy are all accomplished liars..... and I don't believe one word any of them say. I put no stock in anything that comes from their mouths.

Re: Casey's lies - To lie or not to lie
I don't believe George saw Casey and Caylee on the afternoon of the 16th. I think that after that huge fight with Cindy, Casey knew "the time had come". Casey probably left with Caylee after everyone was asleep, and after Caylee was knocked out. If she had left with Caylee right after the fight, surely Caylee would have been petrified and screaming and the neighbors would have been alerted. Casey didn't want to cause a scene and have anyone try to prevent her from leaving with Caylee. George and Cindy would have isensed that something awful was going to happen from Casey's demeanor. So, it makes sense that Casey probably waited for the drugs to work on Caylee and to pack what she needed for herself for an extended absence.
Cindy knew that when Caylee did not reappear that she had to cover up the reason for Casey leaving and taking Caylee. I don't know how she managed to script so many excuses for Casey, but I bet Cindy was and is consumed with guilt.
George can't keep track of the scenarios Cindy coached him on, and is a pathetic liar.
When Casey's car was returned to the A's home, they KNEW that smell. George probably gave the car a once over with a "cop's eye for clues". Then Cindy got busy removing any traces of clothing, etc. If they had found anything truly incriminating it would have been bagged up for George to dump on his way to his job. That would have included Casey's shoes soiled with the dirt of the dump site. I do not think anything that was visually contaminated, or suspicious, would have been left in that car. As for the clothing tying Casey to the swampland, I believe that Casey either disposed of her own clothing and shoes worn that day/night, or Cindy did.
The pants that George claimed he saw Casey wear on the 16th - probably a lie, jdon't think he saw her that day. Just like the lie that Cindy washed them because they smelled. They had probably been unworn by Casey for some time, and had not been in that car when it was recovered.
I don't think that Tony hastened the elimination of Caylee by stating that he only wanted sons. I don't think Casey had any long time plans for living off of Tony. She had already told him lies about a job and school. Casey wasn't counting on staying with Tony once the shit hit the fan about Caylee "missing".
I still wonder what Mallory was send to remove when she dashed over to the A's after the announcement of bones discovered near the A's home.

Re: Casey's lies - To lie or not to lie
Snaz said....
It should be obvious to LE that neither George nor Cindy saw Caylee at all on June 16th! And their backing up and regrouping with details of 'yes we did see her' only shows how desperate they were to NEED to say they did see her on the 16th. (don't forget Cindy changed her story to to include that she kissed Caylee good bye or something like that)
Now comes the question - why are they so desperate to want LE to believe they did see Caylee on the 16th?
At first, Cindy took herself out of the equation for June 16th by saying she didn't lay eyes on either Caylee or Casey that morning but she knew they were both in there because she heard them breathing, thus limiting the number of people who had to lie to George and Casey. Jump to- she comes home from work and lets the dogs out into the backyard and checks the pool water, noticing the ladder is up by the pool and the back gate is open. Cindy calls George to berate him for leaving the gate open after he cut the grass; George says he didn't do it! Cindy does NOT say she called Casey to ask her if she left the ladder up or the gate open for any reason! WTH? If George didn't do it, then it's no big deal?
I'm going to speculate here that the ladder was NOT up by the pool and the gate was NOT open and Cindy called George for other reasons.
Cindy also does not address the multiple phone calls she got from Casey that afternoon before Casey gave up and went to a neutral place...I mean, to Tony's.
Casey claims she made a call to Zanny after work that day - after 5PM- but there are no calls to Zanny. Casey claims the call was made from Sawgrass, but no calls pinged from there. Casey claimed that after 'no one' returned her calls that afternoon, she went to a neutral place, thus suggesting something argumentative was going on with the person she left Caylee with.
Let's dissect this....Casey said 'no one' returned her calls, but she told LE she only called Zanny once and found her line disconnected. 'no one' suggests more than one person didn't return her calls! OK... Casey did in fact make several back to back calls to both George and Cindy and the Hopespring landline that day, but it was not after 5PM it was like 3-4ish. And indeed, 'no one' returned her calls.
These calls just so happen to ping from a tower that serves the Hopespring residence. Casey's cell pings also from the house (or could have been from Lee's or some other friend of Casey's who lives in that area -can't recall the name right now) during the night of 15-16, then till about 1PM then not again until this flurry of calls to George and Cindy between 3 and 4PM.
Back to Cindy didn't see Caylee or Casey that morning. But Casey got a call from the landline to her cell about the time Cindy would have been leaving for work; it was not answered. So I'm thinking Cindy looked in on Caylee in Casey's bedroom that morning and found them gone, called Casey to see where she was? If so, then Casey and Caylee were likely there when Cindy went to bed the night before, but not in the morning.
George doesn't claim at first to have seen Caylee before 12:50PM. George later adds that he did see her that morning at breakfast. So...was Caylee there that morning at all? Was Casey there that morning at all?
My question again from above - why are they so desperate to want LE to believe they did see Caylee on the 16th? Answer: so they can say Casey went off to work and left Caylee with a sitter because they both knew Casey left mad as a hornet and took Caylee with her and they never saw the child again!
I'll further speculate that Casey strolled back to the house about 1ish without Caylee....so George has to say she was with Casey and reverses it to they are leaving rather than Casey is arriving without Caylee. More speculation....Casey tells George at 1ish that she is moving out and that the nanny has Caylee because she's already killed Caylee and is buying time. (fits in with the letter) This also fits with Casey saying she left Caylee with Zanny between 9 and 1.
Later that day, Casey makes a flurry of calls to George and Cindy from the home area. Why? My speculation, she was hoping to tell them Caylee had been kidnapped! But they didn't answer and it foiled her plans. She had already placed Caylee in the playhouse with tape on her face for Cindy and George (or the Yorkies) to discover as if the nanny (Jesse) had put her there after killing her, and was hoping to pretend to be frantic and then let Caylee be found in the playhouse gagged with duct tape. No one answered, So she bags her up, puts her back in the trunk and comes up with Plan B which was to avoid the family and act like nothing is wrong.
George and Cindy knew what that smell was on July 15th, but was that the first time they knew it? I don't think so! George wants too desperately for the world to believe the car did not stink on June 24th...therefore it did! And George would have known then that something was amiss since he hadn't seen Caylee! I think he alerted Cindy shortly after that and that's when the whole July 3 crap started.
OK...gotta go for now!

I agree, Cali, that TL had nothing to do with KC killing Caylee..... she was already planning to rid herself of the little "snothead" long before she ever met him.
It is interesting to note that now TL is reported to be working successfully in NY, and has a girlfriend..... who has a daughter!!

For me, this is an easy one. I'm not convinced KC didn't leave the house with Caylee after the fight, which CA denies, on June 15..... and I think that in itself explains why they are so desperate to have everyone believe they saw both KC and Caylee on the morning of the 16th. KC had to have been furious with her mother after she put her hands around KC's throat. I just can't help but believe there is no way KC would have stayed in the house after that.
I agree with you, Lottie, that whenever she left that house after the fight, they never saw Caylee again.

Re: Casey's lies - To lie or not to lie
AJ, to be perfectly honest, I am not sure I believe Caylee was with Cindy at the Nursing Home on the actual Father's Day. Cindy may have been since her epass records show her going down that way and back between 9ish and 3:30ish on June 15th. Was Caylee with her? I'm not so sure!
I don't believe in coincidences like Cindy just mixing up one Sunday with another, especially not when her grandchild was missing and she was SO distraught over it for an entire month! It wouldn't surprise me if Cindy had gotten the Sunday of Father's Day wrong and went down there a week early with Caylee. I say that because I mixed up Father's Day that year myself for some reason and was planning a dinner on June 8th, only to have my kids inform me I was a week early!
Since I don't believe a single word out of any Anthony's mouth, and the last time anyone other than an Anthony saw Caylee was June 12 (by Tony and maybe Kristina) and maybe Kristina saw Caylee not on the 12 but rather the 13 or maybe the 14. Remember, she couldn't recall the date exactly. So let's say IF Caylee was last seen by anyone other than an Anthony on June 12th (disregarding Kristina's word because she couldn't decide and using only Tony's word)...well, the next day is party Friday at Fusian and NO ONE has yet to say who was keeping Caylee that night! (there being no zanny to do it) George and Cindy did NOT have her, so they have said by omission of saying they did. HOWEVER, Cindy then wants us to believe she had Caylee on the 15th? Why didn't she have her all weekend? It makes no sense!
So what if Caylee died on the 13th while Casey had her drugged up to sleep it out? Wasn't that actually her first night helping Tony out there? And what if part of the coverup was for Casey to switch out the wrong Father's Day date on the video taken June 8th to prove she was fine on June 15th? And then Cindy makes the trip back to Mt Dora again on June 15th to sign the log and even add Caylee's name? (Or she could have just gone to see her mom and faked the log entry another day on the proper page, who knows?)
The nurse there was confused! She really thought it was June 8th that she saw them there, and the only things 'proving' her wrong is the date on the video and the signed log. Well, excuse me but Caylee didn't put her own name in it! And I do believe Casey is wise enough to finagle a change of dates for the video on the camera and then upload it correctly onto the computer on June 16th. The camera is NOT hard to switch dates on! I can do that! It's called an edit feature!
All this, though, implies Cindy knew Caylee was dead before June 15th and participated in covering it up by entering her and Caylee's name in the log on June 15th. That's a lot of implying, I know! But with these folks, who knows what extremes they'd go to to cover up and take up for Casey's mistake?
Now if they did lose Caylee on June 13th, then Cindy would be right that she didn't see her after June 8/9! Because during that week Casey had Caylee at Ricardo's spending the nights a lot! Where she spent the nights the other days that week is anyone's guess, but Cindy has never said Caylee stayed at her house!
So until someone, even Casey saying Zanny had her, will say who was keeping Caylee June 13 and 14, then I will always wonder if she was dead and the video was fixed. Cindy and George certainly haven't gone there! They have never claimed to have sat Caylee that weekend, nor do they speak of it at all!
I'd love to see Cindy's epass records for June 8th. Or WTH? Maybe there are no epasses for it because maybe Casey had her there and got her to sing "Don't take Nine's Sunshine away" for dramatic effect before killing her! (Nine was a name Caylee called Cindy, I heard at one time...don't know if it's true)...but even if she said "my" instead of "nine's" it would still be a sick twisted thing for Casey to do. Is she capable of it? I'd say, OH Yeah!
I know LE thinks Caylee died on June 16th. But what, other than the Ant's saying that was the last day they saw her, do they have to support that when no one else saw Caylee after June 12th?

Re: Casey's lies - To lie or not to lie
You know what, AJ? The prosecution doesn't even need to give a date, just a timeframe for when Caylee was never seen again. Just like it happened, that her friends saw Caylee when they last did and Cindy and George claimed they saw Caylee when they last did. It doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things when Casey killed Caylee. She just DID at some point and then went on her merry way as happy as a lark.
You could be right that Casey killed her with her bare hands. She may have choked her like Cindy choked Casey because Cindy choked Casey, then taped her up to make sure she didn't start breathing again while she was on the phone and/or computer with her friends.
Funny that Cindy said she heard Caylee in the room that morning 'breathing'. That's one of two remarks Cindy has made about 'breathing' that I can recall. The other one was something about a living breathing Caylee. There may be more references to that by Cindy. Her use of that word struck me funny. You don't hear other grandparents of dead children using that word. And Cindy wasn't even admitting Caylee was dead at the time. She seemed inappropriately hung-up on 'breathing' and to me that suggests Caylee had the breath choked out of her or suffocated out of her.
I find people's choices of words to be very telling sometimes. It's like a subconscious rat fink!
