Quiche

Post by Piper on Sun Jun 06, 2010 10:19 pm

Well, I've made quiche quite a few times in my life. Using everything from spinach, onions, garlic, asparagus, peppers, bacon, ham, pancetta and every type of cheese. But I've always used a regular pie crust. I had leftover phyllo dough in my freezer and decided to try that tonight for my broccoli and roasted red pepper quiche. Well, it's easily burned...LOL.
It worked and tasted great, as it's gone now....but I just wondered if anyone else has ever tried it. Once cut, the burnt layers kind of peeled away, it tasted great underneath it all...

Here's my experiment:

Okay, brag post, brag post!

I just made Martine's recipe for Tacos.
Yves Veggie Ground Round
1 pack Taco Time Taco seasoning
1 Onion
1 green pepper
1 red pepper.

Food processor, throw in onion & 2 peppers. Wack em, dump em in with the veggie ground round and seasoning. Cover, stir, go away, come back, stir cover, go away (my kind of cooking) come back, VOILA!!!!!!

I'm eating one right now in a whole wheat wrap and it's DELICIOSO!

Eva! Sounds yummy to me. I'll trade you a piece of quiche with extra crispy Greek pastry crust for a taco!
