Based on the people who have been visiting KC, I think the defense is gearing up for mitigation, I think they pretty much see the writing on the wall and know there's a greater chance than not that KC will be convicted of murder.

And once she is convicted, I think the defense will have some sort of "psychological explanation," as the reasons for her behavior..... partying, unemotional about Caylee, etc. And I won't be surprised at all if sexual molestation is mentioned in the process....

I don't think the defense's explanations will be accepted by the jury... but they have to try something to save her life. And if KC receives LWOP rather than DP, I don't think it will be because of anything presented by the defense during the mitigation phase. I think it may be because she is a relatively young female.

Makes me sick to think that a momster could claim prior sexual abuse as an "excuse" for murdering her child, and be believed.

Records Shed Light On Casey's Latest Jail Visitors
Ocala Lawyer Pays A Visit, Renowned For Cross-Examination, Other Lawyers Say

POSTED: 4:36 pm EDT August 26, 2010

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Casey Anthony recently got a jailhouse visit from an attorney renowned for her cross-examination of medical experts, jail records show.

Ocala attorney Dorothy Clay Sims visited Anthony in jail on July 30 for about an hour and a half.

How many attys can they keep adding to the defense side, and expect the taxpayers to pay for?

The taxpayers are not paying for attorneys fees. Judge Perry only approved specified expenses for the attorneys... and I doubt he would approve paying for the expenses of any additional attorneys.

As of now though, no new attorneys have been added to the defense anyway... so it isn't an issue. These two attorneys simply visited KC in jail. If they join the defense, it will most likely be pro bono.

Decision Analysis and Renowned Trial Consultant Richard Gabriel's Jury Selection and Trial Strategy Key to Hung Jury in Spector Murder Trial

The difference in this trial, as well as countless other high profile cases including OJ Simpson, Heidi Fleiss, Enron Broadband and Whitewater, was Decision Analysis, a trial consulting company based in Los Angeles with offices in Chicago and San Francisco. Richard Gabriel, President of Decision Analysis and co-author of the book, Jury Selection: Strategy and Science, says, "To overcome the extreme amount of bias against the defendant in this case, we employed new methods of jury selection and trial communication techniques. These methods include statistical modeling, nonverbal micro-expressions, documentary film and journalism techniques, and resistance persuasion strategies. As a result of our research, we made a 180 degree change in the way the case was presented."

Judge Belvin Perry had already informed Baez that he will not get funds for a jury consultant but he forges ahead and gets one anyway??? What am I missing???

I can't see how he can change the perception of those critical, crucial 31 day lapse in alerting authorities! During those 31 days, Inmate Anthony danced her life away, cleaned house for her boyfriend du jour, cooked for him and his roomates with never uttering one single syllable that something was amiss about Caylee! I can't see how he can change the past and her aborrant behavior the entire time Caylee was allegedly missing...My belief is that Caylee was never a missing child but always a murdered one... Sad Her behavior, her non emotions will be what gets her that guilty verdict. Baez should have gone along with the "ugly coping" using a PPD defense. Admit to her wrong doing and beg for mercy come sentencing phase...but as always this is JMHO

Also during that 31 days, she got a Bella Vita tattoo. What mother would get such a tattoo while her daughter is "missing"? I agree, Caylee was not "missing", she was hidden.

Caylee'sJustice.... you are correct. Judge Perry did deny JB's request for a jury consultant. However, that doesn't preclude them from getting one if he/she is willing to work pro bono.

All the new attorneys they have recently signed onto the case are working pro bono.
