Casey Anthony's Mother Implicated in Mail Fraud

By Joan Sedley

The tangled web surrounding Casey Anthony and her trial for the murder of her own 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, just became more complicated, extending to Casey's mom.

Cindy Anthony is in the hot seat now after prosecutors released 2,400 pages of evidence in the case, including at least one instance in which the mother of the murder suspect mailed her a letter in prison that used Casey Anthony's lawyer's return address with "legal mail do not open" written on the envelope.

As reported by Florida TV station WFTV, when told such an action could be considered mail fraud, Cindy Anthony reportedly responded: "They must think I'm really stupid. Why would I send you a card and put another address besides mine on it?"

Everyone else is always wrong, aren't they Cindy? If this is how Cindy was all the while Casey was growing up, then this must be how Casey learned to make things up too. Yeah, Amy you were sleepwalking and hid your $250 somewhere.

snipped from above:

Cindy Anthony reportedly responded: "They must think I'm really stupid. Why would I send you a card and put another address besides mine on it?"

Of course she would say this after getting busted, it's called C.Y.A.

You're so right, Julie. CMA = CYA........Casey learned from the best. They are always right and above the law. You can't touch this must be their favorite quote. Con artists and liars, oh and a baby killer.

And Jose was passing those letters marked us "legal documents" knowing damn well that wasn't allowed. I suppose he's above the law as well.

Oh, I guess CYA is right too, according to Wikipedia. I should go back to sleep.

Cover Your Ass (CYA) or Cover Your Own Ass (CYOA) describes professional and organizational practices that serve to protect oneself from legal and administrative penalties, criticism, or other punitive measures. Very Happy

Jail Confiscates Contraband Sent To Casey Anthony
Anthony's Mother Sent Note In Envelope Labeled 'Legal Mail'

POSTED: Friday, August 6, 2010
UPDATED: 7:41 pm EDT August 6, 2010

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Orange County corrections officials confiscated a greeting card mailed to Casey Anthony by her mother because the envelope improperly suggested it contained confidential legal documents.

For security purposes, Orange County Jail workers routinely screen mail sent to inmates. But corrections officers are not allowed to look at letters inmates receive from their lawyers, which are generally protected by attorney-client privilege.

Was this card mailed to KC or delivered by Bozo? I read it as being mailed, but with Bozo's return address typed on it. Was KC's address all typed, I'm sure it was, BUT, it was a greeting card (probably a Mother's Day card, since it was in May), and they are usually wider than a regular evelope. I'm sure it looked like a greeting card, and not some legal documents being sent from Bozo. That is why they thought it looked strange and hand carried it to KC, so they could see it when she opened it.

I'm sure CA mailed it, and I guess now she is trying to say someone else sent it and signed her name. Oh sure, throw some one else under the bus CA. It's getting pretty crowded under there.
