PORTLAND, Ore. -- A statement from the parents of a missing 7-year-old boy is expected to come sometime Wednesday as investigators wrap up the final interviews of parents, students and staff at Skyline School.

Second-grader Kyron Horman disappeared from his rural northwest Portland school Friday.

Multnomah County Sheriff's Capt. Jason Gates said Kyron's stepmother brought him to school for a school science fair and last saw Kyron near his classroom at about 8:45 a.m.

Tanner Pumala, Kyron's classmate, said he last saw his friend at about the same time when Kyron told him he was headed to look at another student's science project.

"He walked by the hallway and I'm like, 'Hi, Kyron,' and he's like, 'Hi. I'm going to go see this cool one. It's electric.' I'm like, 'Alright, bye.' And that's the last time I saw him," Tanner said. "He never did make it back to class."

As the search for Kyron enters its sixth day, Tanner said his friend's disappearance is all he can think about.

"I'm feeling really sad. For the last five days, I haven't gotten much sleep," he said. "I'm hoping that my best friend will come back."

"And she was like 'oh no where's Kyron there's only five' and Mrs. Porter was like it's okay calm down, calm down he's probably in the bathroom or getting a drink of water and she said alright I'm going to leave and she left, " says Tanner Pumala

Tanner said that he noticed that Kyron was not on the school bus when they were going home.

Investigators re-interviewing people who saw Kyron

Meanwhile, investigators are re-interviewing people who say they saw Kyron at Skyline School the day he disappeared.

One person who has been asked again about what he saw is Skyline seventh-grader Tyler Kessinger, whose science fair project was on antimatter. He said investigators came back to interview him last week at his home.

“I just saw him (Kyron) in the gym, and I saw the truck out in the parking lot,” he said Wednesday. Kessinger said Kyron was looking at other students’ science fair projects, seemed happy and was with friends.

Kessinger said he hopes it’s all cleared up soon because it’s a frightening situation for him.

“Just knowing someone took him and not coming out and confessing, and that he’s probably in some other random place,” he said.

He said when he saw Kyron in the gym he didn’t see Terri Horman with him. He and his family have turned over pictures they took at the science fair to investigators, but they’ve been asked not to disclose the timeframe in which he saw Kyron.

Additionally, Kessinger said that investigators didn’t ask him anything new.

Tyler's exhibit was on antimatter. I didn't remember much detail from school, had to do a search.

Antimatter sounds like the stuff of science fiction, and it is. But it's also very real. Antimatter is created and annihilated in stars every day. Here on Earth it's harnessed for medical brain scans.

"Antimatter is around us each day, although there isn't very much of it," says Gerald Share of the Naval Research Laboratory. "It is not something that can be found by itself in a jar on a table."

So Share went looking for evidence of some in the Sun, a veritable antimatter factory, leading to new results that provide limited fresh insight into these still-mysterious particles.

Simply put, antimatter is a fundamental particle of regular matter with its electrical charge reversed. The common proton has an antimatter counterpart called the antiproton. It has the same mass but an opposite charge. The electron's counterpart is called a positron.

Antimatter particles are created in ultra high-speed collisions.
One example is when a high-energy proton in a solar flare collides with carbon, Share explained in an e-mail interview. "It can form a type of nitrogen that has too many protons relative to its number of neutrons." This makes its nucleus unstable, and a positron is emitted to stabilize the situation.

But positrons don't last long. When they hit an electron, they annihilate and produce energy.

"So the cycle is complete, and for this reason there is so little antimatter around at a given time," Share said.

Could Tyler's exhibit have been the cool electric one?

Doesn't this subject seem a little advanced for a second grader? Could this kid be the 7th grader others have mentioned?

Yes Tyler is the 7th grader. Tanner is a 3rd grader.

Here's why I want to know which class is Kyron's.

If his room is 201, then it's right across the hall from the gym, where Tyler saw him.

It would be possible that when Terri walked out the front door Kyron took a left into the gym rather than a right into his class.

And Tanner saw him outside the door, and he went down the stairs to see something else.

But if Kyron's class is actually 213, well then I gotta wonder when Tyler saw him.

Did Kyron turn around and go in the opposite direction after Terri left, or did he go into the gym WITH the volunteer escort?

If he was with the escort , then when was this interaction with Tanner???

I'm trying not to put too much into either of their statement, mostly because they are kids and we dont' have time info...but knowing which room is Kyron's I think helps make sense out of these.

And considering curtains in the gym, Tyler likely didn't see the truck and Kyron simultaneously. And there are also 2 egresses from the gym....would those be the back door that the kids came out to see the flower beds?

And why were they checking them that day anyway, were they part of the fair? If so how many kids checked out the flower beds?

KJ, from the pictures the garden bed faces the field. The gym exits face the parking lot........this is driving me crazy!

Yeah...I want to know why LE would be so concerned about him discussing time.

if he saw him before 8:45, it would be no biggy, Terri could have left earlier than she said OR she could have been in the bathroom...means nothing that he didn't see her.

If it was after 8:45 then that supports Terri...but why wouldn't they want the public to know?

I just don't understand why they would want this buttoned up.

Can anyone explain, seriously - no conspiresy theory please, why this information could be so critical to the investigation?

Not sure if this is a gym as well as an auditorium. It had curtains in the window that made me think of an auditorium. You can see stairs straight ahead that lead down into the school

There are 2 exits from the gym...one is into the playground...could the grounds keeper had seen them come from there? What would he mean by the 'back door'?

Certainly not the machanic room door...that would have to be locked, ya???

So either of the side doors, or the gym, I'd think. Which makes the most sense if a kid wants to come check out flower beds on a chilly drizzly day...the one by 213????? Is that the 'back door'??????

The caf is in the basement...check the floor plan. If you look at the gym, there is a stage...it must double as the auditorium.

As far as Tyler's timeframe, I don't know. If it confirms she was where she said she was, why hide it?

I don't think it would confirm anything about Terri, because as I said, Tyler couldn't have verified the location of the truck at the same time he was looking at Kyron.

BUT...if he say Kyron at say 9:12...then we might have something, because that is when Terri had her receipt.

So I kinda doubt that...I bet it was closer to 8:45...but which side of it, I dont' know.

I think even if it was 8:50 it wouldn't do too much to help. I think it'd have to be 9 to have an impact.

If their class is right by the gym it lines these two up.

And then I want to know who else saw him in the gym. Who were those friends he was with? Were they the tour group? Was it really 9:05?

I just don't see how the time matters, UNLESS it's important that we all continue to think it's Terri.

If the time doesn't change that, then why not say?

If the time changes that, then why not say?...if it takes the heat off Terri, I gotta beleive they have their eye on someone else, where it's better for Kyron if this other person thinks LE is still looking in the wrong direction.

But that just seems to far fetched to me.
