Misty Says She Saw What Happened to HaLeigh

Mama, I'm just guessing based on the rest of frankie's post, I think frankie meant to say "did take Haleigh".

Oh Thank God Julie, but I remember reading somewhere that they said Joe attacked Haleigh, and I thought that is what Frankie was saying too.

Good, I hope that is what he/she meant.

I read on Levi Page's twitter page over the weekend that after Ron's sentencing, police questioned Misty and threatened to charge her with murder, and that she was then placed under suicide watch.

Levi and Chelsea Croslin are both supposed to be guests on JVM tonight, so it should be interesting to hear what they have to say.

Art Harris also did a post where he talks about the questioning and says Misty cracked and is now pointing the finger at Tommy.

Within hours of Ronald Cummings sentencing Friday, The Bald Truth has learned Misty Croslin began to crack under relentless police questioning—and changed her story again.

Family members and sources close to the case tell me Croslin now claims she lied about her allegation that cousin Joe Overstreet snatched Haleigh to cover up yet another horror even closer to home. During her four hour interrogation Friday, The Bald Truth learned exclusively that Misty Croslin now claims it was her own brother, Tommy Croslin, who came to the trailer that night, took Haleigh and fabricated the cousin Joe-machine gun story.

I wonder if Misty's lawyer was present. I would think she should be allowed to demand that her lawyer be present before subjecting herself to a four-hour interrogation.

How many times can you poke a caged animal before it fights back?

None of these people can be trusted to speak the truth. NONE!

I think the only real truth that has come out of all this is, when Tommy put HIMSELF at the scene! That is the only time I believe that any truth was told.

Misty is/was? facing 240 years in prison. Why would she NOT say ANYTHING to get it lowered? How sad. I don't think we will ever find out wht happened to poor HaLeigh.

Wow............Chelsea believes Ron knows what happened and Misty is covering. I just cannot wrap my mind around Misty being capable of covering a lie all this time.

The only way I can see that possibly happening is, if Ron has her completely convinved that it is just as much her fault as his.

If this is what happened, then I can understand Misty feeling it is as much her fault as Ron's, since she was in charge of the kids. If LE could prove this is what happened to Haley, then I'm sure both of them would be charged.

I don't believe one single word that Art Harris says, so I'm not even going to bother addressing his "stories" as that is simply what they are: Stories. kh

Also, Misty is not charged with anything to do with Haleigh. NO ONE HAS BEEN CHARGED IN HALEIGH'S DISAPPEARANCE OR MURDER. And I lay the responsiblity for that particular tragedy directly upon the shoulders of law enforcement. The layers of tragedy in this case are great. The denial of justice for Haleigh being the worst.

The pressure that has been brought to bear upon Misty regarding her drug trafficking charges has been great... because they need to close the Haleigh case and they tried to make her say something, anything usable regarding a possible resolution to Haleigh's disappearance off the face of this earth.

Personally, I think Misty would have cracked under the pressure like 24-72 hours tops after her arrest if she knew anything. Anything at all. And, I think she has acquiesed to her tormentors demands to give them information that she does not possess in return for leniency in the drug sentencing and has been flying by the seat of her pants and telling them what she thinks they want to hear. Understandable. But this has only muddied the waters more.

I sincerely hope that the judge sentences her based on the drug charges and evidence alone, as is the law. Misty is no drug lord and she certainly was not the Mastermind behind the Palatka Pillbillies Drug Cartel. C'mon. Gimme a break! She's Youthful Offender material if I ever saw it! And that's not getting off easy. 4 years in a State prison and 2 years of boot camp is no cake walk. Especially for a young woman, barely 18, who has been abandoned from an early age, raised in a family and taken in by friends/lovers that swim in and out of their unlawful lifestyle the way you or I would swim in the sea! She's not terribly smart and has no positive support systems. She's been used and abused by everyone, and may not even know it. She lacks education, insight, training, understanding. I believe she can be rehabilitated. And I believe that even being sentenced as a YO would be an extremely severe punishment.

I think she was frightened and lived her whole young life in a culture where you did not trust the police. Ever. Where abuse was accepted and expected. I think she was coerced by many people to say/do things. Many, many people. I think Ron maximized her culpability in what ever happened and she was ignorant or naive enough to believe that he had her best interests at heart. But I also think the Croslin way is to always hold your own self interests first over everyone else's. Maybe Ron took some lessons from them. But I doubt it. He is a user and abuser of anything and everything. It's how he's always operated. If you don't think Ron is an abuser listen to his language. He speaks the language of abuse and violence fluently. He ooooozes it. If Misty cozied up to Ron thinking he would provide her with the support and protection she so desperately wanted, she was sadly mistaken. And I think that to the extent her immaturity emotionally, intelletually and spiritually would allow, she did love the children.

But that's just my opinion............

And last but not least, that whole "Chelsea Show" the other nite on JVM? I think that was Chelsea's way of communicating to Misty that the Croslins expect her to tow the Croslin line: It's time to blame anyone but a Croslin. Ron would be good.

I have been absolutely stupified that all of the women in the Croslin family tree (by birth or marriage) are so completely immersed and invested in aiding, abetting and enabling their male folk. Pfffft. kh

It would take A WHOLE LOT of convincing for me to ever believe Ron is a credible witness ABOUT ANYTHING. For Haleigh's sake, I hope they have more than that. kh

KH mentioned in another thread that Ron could be out in about 12 years between a combination of good behavior and time already served.
