ORLANDO, Fla. -- A pair of shoes that belonged to Caylee Anthony will be donated to help less-fortunate children, her grandmother said.

Cindy Anthony, Caylee's grandmother, e-mailed Local 6 News on Tuesday saying she will give the shoes to the nonprofit group ChildrenOfLove.org, which serves less-fortunate children.

I saw that this morning and thought I read it wrong or the writer made a mistake. Is it truly just a single pair of shoes? Surely it isn't........

The article says "some of Caylee's shoes", but seriously, couldn't she find something bigger to donate?

This just blows me away..... Cindy donates ONE pair of shoes (or SOME, as the case may be) out of all those zillions of shoes we saw in Caylee's closet and she thinks THAT is worth alerting the media?????

She should just donate them anonymously and keep quiet about it. Or buy a new pair and donate them in Caylee's name.

I think the charity is wonderful... and if she really wanted to do something to bring attention to the charity itself, why not work in their office, make phone calls soliciting donations of shoes and clothing, distribute event flyers on people's cars and front doors?

There are so many things she COULD have done for this worthwhile cause, but she decides donating possibly a few pairs of Caylee's shoes and emailing the media was the best way to handle it.

Snaz...You forgot one thing...When Caylee returns she will have outgrown all her clothes and shoes...so why doesn't C just get rid of all of them???? Yes,I agree, she should donate them anonymously...Would you want to know that your child was wearing an item from a precious little girl that was murdered by her mother???

I have to apologize.....

I am VERY passionate about this case. I am just so beyond SICK of Cindy Anthony and her antics. Someone needs to SHUT her up.

The sad thing is that even if the gag order had been granted, it would not have included the Anthonys. We would STILL be subjected to their TRASH. The gag order was intended to quiet the defense attorneys from all their spin... and tainting potential jurors.

IMO, Baez fought the gag order because he wanted to pick and choose what was released to the media. He would still have been able to get out to the public anything he wanted through Cindy since they weren't covered in the gag order, had it been granted. And we all know, Cindy would have complied with Baez's wishes.

The State has not "leaked" anything as the defense has stated time and time again. They have not made ONE comment. Everything has been released through the FLORIDA SUNSHINE LAW, which the State prosecutors have absolutely ZERO control over. Baez just does not get it.

I'm just SO ready for this trial to happen and KC get what is coming to her.

Interesting that Cindy picked a charity that serves children of the Honduras. We've all heard that she didn't like Hispanics. Of course, that came from KC, so we also know how much stock we can put into THAT.

Any child who might wear a pair of Caylee's shoes surely is not "less-fortunate" than she is. They are alive to wear them... Caylee was murdered by her mother.

I also find it interesting that she feels the need to attend the event rather than to just quietly donate whatever it is she intends to donate.

Cindy is trying to change the perception the public has of her, IMO. This is not about Caylee, nor is it about the children helped by the Children of Love Foundation. It is all about Cindy... as usual.

My opinion only: "Some" of Caylee's shoes could still mean ONE pair..... as in: I bought SOME new shoes today. Just sayin'.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Cindy Anthony said she is donating a pair of her granddaughter Caylee’s shoes to a nonprofit group that helps less-fortunate children.

Caylee Anthony’s remains were found in December of 2008. Cindy’s daughter, Casey Anthony, faces murder charges in connection with Caylee’s death.

Cindy Anthony said the shoes will be donated on Saturday to a group called the Children of Love Foundation.
