Mama, I don't know if Bozo is stupid or if he is good at playing stupid. I also understand the questions the judge is asking him. He doesn't seem interested in working nights and weekends as the judge keeps suggesting.

Casey Anthony's Lawyers In Court For Status Hearing

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Lawyers in the case against Casey Anthony were in court Monday afternoon. Casey was not required to attend Monday's status hearing.

Jose Baez spoke first in front of Judge Belvin Perry Jr. about rescheduling expert witnesses in the case. Judge Perry allowed Baez to reschedule seven expert witnesses.

"The folks that you listed will be extended until 19 of November," said Perry.

Some of the experts include computer and cell phone tower and record experts.

Judge Perry seemed frustrated when the issue on expert reviews came up. Perry told Baez that the bottom line is the experts' reviews should be completed by October 31.

Perry also asked how many witnesses that are not law enforcement still needed to be deposed. Baez replied 12, including the ones not listed by the state.

Some of the witnesses Baez listed included former jail inmate Robyn Adams and state prisoner 21-year-old Maya Derkovic, who knew Casey Anthony in jail.

Judge Belvin Perry’s style rivets the attention

Judge Belvin Perry’s style drew the most scrutiny in coverage today of the Casey Anthony case.

WESH-Ch. 2’s Bob Kealing said it was surprising that a status hearing turned to arguments over a defense motion filed today. The defense wants to send two pieces of evidence — a laundry bag and a pair of shorts found near Caylee’s remains — to researchers in the Netherlands. Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

The prosecution expressed concern that an overseas lab might not follow protocols. A definite Perry stressed that he wouldn’t allow evidence to be shipped out of the country.

This defense team ought to start perparing for their trip...into the depths of hell. They are outrageous and disgustingly callous. Their stall tactics have gone on long enough, and they will continue to stall because the unspoken word here is "mistrial" and they play on it for what it will get them.
That cheezy Cheney guy, he needs to be chided by the judge about how he rudely harrumphs into the mike, to make known his presence maybe or just to show how he is "above" the common man and common courtesy.

If you are in need of examples of bad lawyering, you don’t have to look much further than Orlando, Florida and Jose Baez and Cheney Mason. As if acting from a never-ending script, they once again proved arrogance and stupidity do nothing for a client facing murder charges.

Baez had his annoying color charts with him and went into his bizarre explanations of pending depositions. Example: Tony Lazzaro – Baez tells Judge Perry (you need to listen carefully) during his rambling, that a depo is scheduled and within minutes the story changes to well, it’s not really scheduled, but that’s the day we set aside for it! This occurs during the first minute of the hearing. You can also hear the Jeff Ashton whisper, “That’s past the deadline!”

Baez speaks of Dr. Neil Haskell’s depo. He claims it was scheduled, but it had to be rescheduled, due to other depos. You can also hear the Jeff Ashton whisper, “No!”

Dr. Haskell is the entomologist we have known about for two years and his report was published over a year and a half ago!

Jeff Ashton states Dr. Haskell’s depo has NEVER been scheduled. There was some discussion that his depo would take place in June, but that was never followed up on!

Baez now comes up with all kind of silly excuses as to why Dr. Haskell hasn’t been deposed. Dr. Huntington hasn’t reviewed the bug evidence yet.

Now, hold on a minute…I distinctly recall the State’s offer to send the bug evidence to Dr. Huntington last year!!!
