Estee, there haven't been any updates on the body. The Statesman Journal seems to be the only media covering that story. They said more information was expected yesterday, but they haven't posted any updates yet.

Fundraiser: $14,000 donated to Kyron Horman Foundation, Multnomah County Sheriff's Office

Published: Friday, September 03, 2010, 2:40 PM

Pat Cahill (far right), co-owner of Godfather's Pizza, hands a check for $8,000 to Sgt. Diana Olsen (far left) for Multnomah County Sheriff's Office search efforts for Kyron Horman. The boy's dad Kaine Horman received $6,000 for a foundation. Amy Walcott helped organized the fundraiser on Wednesday.

Three months since his son disappeared, Kaine Horman received $6,000 on Friday from a fundraiser at Godfather’s Pizza. Another $8,000 from the drive went to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office for search and rescue efforts for Kyron Horman.

As soon as I read about the find, I immediatley wondered however, it seems likely it is someone else.. I cant imagine that the person who found the remains wud have not come forward to descibe the size of the remains.. Also, if it was a child .I cant see how K and D wud not have been visited where I suspect the media wud have caught on to this.. Even before remains are identified, the families of the ptoential victims are usually made aware at the start of the discovery.. sometimes accurately and sometimes not.. If it was a child.. I cant see how it wud not have been in the media yet...

I do hope we gget an update soon..

Wall of Hope back up at TVF&R station

By Thom Jensen KATU News KATU.com Staff
Story Updated: Sep 7, 2010 at 5:05 PM PDT

PORTLAND, Ore. - Kaine Horman, the father of missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman, led the way as he and a group of people carried the chain link section of his son’s Wall of Hope to its new location on Tuesday.

Just over a week ago, volunteers moved the wall from its original location at Skyline School to the Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue station down the street because of safety concerns.

TVF&R made a grassy area at the station available for the wall’s new location and on Tuesday Kaine and a group of volunteers attached it to new fence posts.

Hi everybody,

I thought you might find this link interesting. There are 11 missing boys in close proximity to Kyron Horman.

Welcome to RC, johnabelle, and I hope you enjoy this site as much as the rest of us do. We enjoy discussing lots of the murdered/missing children and adults. We welcome your input on each case.

We also invite you to participate in all the games we play every day. We are a bunch of crazy ppl here, and especially look out for Julie and eva, the crazy sisters (from different mamas and papas). They will drive you crazy too.

We are, but Julie and eva are the most crazy and they are the reason the rest of us are crazy.

Does that make sense?

Thank you sitemama and Julie for the invite. Just checked in before going to bed and thought ya'll might find that information interesting. I already had read there were other missing children in the area, but I wasn't aware there were that many.

Thanks for the link johnabelle. It's really sad that most of those boys have been missing for over 10 years without a resolution in their cases.

Hi Johnabelle, welcome to RC! Thanks for the info. While reading the local message boards and comments in regards to Kyron, I've seen many people ask why all of these other missing children don't get any attention. No missing child should be forgotten.

School Saves a Desk for Missing Kyron Horman
By Elaine Aradillas

Tuesday September 07, 2010 07:00 PM EDT

Like many parents this time of year, Kaine Horman went shopping for school supplies, buying everything needed for his son Kyron to start the third grade.

"They're all in his backpack in his room, ready to go. He's on the teachers' roster. They have his desk waiting. Everything is ready for him," says Horman, 36.

How eerie that's got to be for his classmates....to see an empty desk sitting there waiting for him.

School policy states that a child is withdrawn from school after missing 10 consecutive days. If Kyron doesn't return during that time, what then?
