Help Needed in Finding Abducted Girl

PHOENIX - Phoenix Police are looking for a 17-year-old girl who was kidnapped right from her front yard, and her life may be in danger.

Police say Karla Lizzaraga-Sanchez was kidnapped while loading stuff into her family's SUV on Wednesday night, near 51st Ave and I-10.

Then her family began receiving ransom calls from the girl's abductors and threatening her life if they didn't receive a six-figure amount.

The girl's family is originally from Culiacan, Mexico and moved home after the kidnapping. Police say the motive for the kidnapping may have had to do with another family member's activities -- officers have offered them temporary visas to come back and help with the investigation.

The family went back to Mexico pretty quickly. I hope they release her unharmed.
