Sex Offenders Issues with JVM: A very powerful program

Post by khintx on Fri Nov 05, 2010 5:51 pm

I am telling you guys from the start: I could not watch this whole show. It was too naked, too real, too horrifying and too heartbreaking. It struck too close to home. It could happen to anyone.

I will post the other parts as I find them.

I applaud JVM for doing this show. She managed to 'de-sensitize' this issue. We talk about these cases every day. We hear of new and more horrifying cases every day. We talk about them or not. We dissect them.

JVM made these cases real. She made me hurt just watching it.

Part Two is airing tonight.

I think this show might make everyone think about what maybe they can do, how they can help. How they can be more vigilant. How they can be more empathetic. And how grateful we should all be that this never happened to us....... and it could be us. But by the Grace of God it has not been.........

The Surviving Parents Coalition

http://www.spcoalition.org/

THE COALITION

This is a group of parents who have gone through every parent's worst nightmare. We honor our children by creating awareness and improving laws for child protection and safety. Many of us started our activism alone but together we are empowered to create a comprehensive approach to stop predatory crimes nationwide. Through our legislative efforts we aim to significantly improve public awareness about prevention as well as legislative progress, facilitate hands-on safety education in schools for children through young adults and promote best practices for law enforcement and communities in responding to predatory crimes. We welcome you to join the SPC, hopefully not as a Surviving Parent, but as a Friend and Family member who wants to help us protect all of our children.

The SPC has two (2) types of members: Parent Members and Friends & Family Members. No more than one (1) membership may be held by any one person.

Parent Members are surviving parents of a child who was a victim of (predatory) abduction or sexual abuse. Parent Members have voting rights for the Board of Directors and are the driving force behind the SPC’s legislative initiatives.

Friends & Family Members are either family members of a child who was a victim of abduction (and/or) sexual abuse; or a person who is impassioned by the purpose of the organization and is eagerly willing to support the organization’s purpose. Survivors are more than welcome to join us and have a special place in our advocacy efforts.

All new members must submit the on-line application. There is an orientation process for new Parent Members who may then be invited to an annual meeting where they can exercise voting rights for the Board of Directors. All types of members may be invited to serve on a committee and if you have specific interests or skills that you would like to share with the SPC, please indicate those on your application.

Surviving Parents Coalition Board of Directors

PS: I don't think any of these monsters were known sex offenders. They were never caught or convicted before. Or if they were caught, they somehow escaped conviction. They were not the usual "RSO's" that LE looks for. They were easily passed over.

It is my firm belief that sex offenders may commit many, many crimes before they are actually caught and deemed a "known sex offender."

I don't want everyone to get scared. I just want us to come together and mourn, pray, grieve.... and maybe be moved to see what we can do to make this (wonderful) world a better place for our children.

Calypso had started a thread about the show under Kyron last night. I had just watched it. It was so intense I think I may have missed some things, so I recorded it as well. The pain was raw.

Thank you so much for posting the show. Its so heartbreaking. JVM is going to have them on the show again tonight as Part 2.

Jessica Lunsfords killer was convicted before. Not once either. Numerous times. Couey is dead now. He died of cancer in prison. A death that was too good for him.

Samantha's killer was found not guilty on previous charges. Had the jurors not let him go free, Samantha would be alive. They believed him over those little girls.

Couey died of anal cancer in prison while on death row. I hope he suffered greatly.

One thing that struck me so hard about this show was Caylee Anthony.

This case has been stuck in the muck for over 2 years now. We (I) have been wooed by the defense team's extravanganza of minutia: That this case is about the right to privacy, or who orders hot peanuts and skittles in jail, or what fabulous lawyer is coming probono and then going after they got the media coverage/free advertising they wanted in the first place, or what Casey is wearing, how her hair looks, whether she has pimples on her back, and which side of the courtroom George and Cindy are sitting on (that still ticks me off, by the way).........

BUT:

What this show made me remember is that Caylee was a baby. 2-1/2 years old. (I have a 3 y/o granddaughter, my only grandchild, so this really upsets me). This case doesn't have anything to do with all these sick side shows.

Caylee (a baby!) was missing for 31 frackin days before anyone even noticed she was missing or reported this fact. Her little tiny bones (because she was a little tiny baby) were found many months later, in a garbage bag stuffed inside a laundry bag, with duct tape wrapped around what was left of her head and a heart sticker placed over her mouth. There was not very much left of her having been in that watery/muddy makeshift grave for so long. How horrible is that?

But wait! There's more! At that same time, her mother was selling all the pictures she could to pay for her defense, while her own grandparents were chomping down on crabpuffs and steak at a luxury hotel paid for by ABC newz, along with "their" defense attorney(s) and various PIs who have been shown to be trying to cover up/fabricate evidence or hide the fact that they knew where this little baby's bones lay but they just didn't want to hurt their 'client'.

I am guilty of getting all wrapped up in the bullshit.

The bottom line is: A baby girl was murdered. How does a baby girl get murdered without anyone noticing? I just don't know. All I know is I WANT ANSWERS and I WANT JUSTICE. I am sick to death of all these shit emergency motions in this case. Sick of all the twists and turns this case has taken over the last 2+ years that make Caylee's life and name virtually forgotten!

This case is not about Casey Anthony.

This case is about her baby daughter who was murdered and thrown away (hidden) like yesterday's trash.

And all the people that helped her get away with it.

I want Caylee to be the focus of this case again.

I want Caylee to be represented.

I want the sanctity of Caylee's life to be protected.

I want Caylee to get what justice she can in this world.

I want this case to go to trial and to hell with all this other bullshit.

I'm mad.

I'm mad that jose did exactly what he meant to do. While we're all laffing about what a baffoon he is, he has met his goal: No one even seems to remember that this is about a murdered baby.

I am putting jose on notice: Enough is enough and you've had more than enough!

It's trial time, baby.

Let's rock.

AMEN! No more protecting the baby killer and the circus freaks that support the murdering mother. Get on with it.

I sincerely hope that when this comes to trial everyone is snapped out of the spell of Jose and Casey. We don't really care about what she is eating or what she is wearing. Who she is writing lovelorn letters to or what wierdos want to stand by her and marry her. Even her freakish fam needs to be put aside (a hard thing to do because they enable her still and make a mockery of the justice that Caylee is due!). F them. Let's go to trial. Let's stop tap dancing. Let's do it! kh
