Casey Anthony Hearing Scheduled For Tomorrow

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A hearing has been set in the case against Casey Anthony for tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. at the Orange County Courthouse

Anthony is not expected to be present.

At the hearing, Judge Belvin Perry is expected to hear a motion from Anthony's defense asking for a subpoena to look at Joe Jordan's computer files, including photographs.

Jordan was a volunteer with Texas EquuSearch who once said he searched the same area off of Suburban Drive where Caylee Anthony's remains were later found months later.

Jordan's attorneys filed a motion asking that the court strike the defense motion.

THe latest motion I've read is that Team Casey wants the Universal trip info(lies) withheld, something about her not being Mirandised ...Me thinks the defense is looking for a 'short straw'...unfortunately for them I don't think this is it...feel it will be denied...

This hearing will be for a defense motion requesting subpoena power to obtain pictures Joseph Jordan took on Suburban Drive, and subsequently posted on his own website (now gone) and other websites in 2008.

In response to that motion, Joseph Jordan’s attorney has filed a motion to strike, arguing that the defense has filed the request based on an unverified assumption (one would presume errant assumption, but who knows) that the pictures actually belong to Joseph Jordan. He states that during the December 8, 2010 defense deposition of Joseph Jordan the subject of any pictures Joseph Jordan may have taken was not brought up and there has been no attempt by the defense since that deposition to depose Mr. Jordan about any pictures. However, during the deposition the defense did ask Mr. Jordan about certain posts he made on various websites and Mr. Jordan explained he was offering his opinions. His attorney points out that since Mr. Jordan has not been named as an expert (and undoubtedly would not qualify as one) his opinion doesn’t mean squat........."

Motion (rightly) denied for the obtaining of JJ's supposed pictures. Marinade Dave has them posted and they do not look like they are from Suburban Drive-no air potato vines all over the place. It was a very dumb motion and Judge Perry had it right-it was a fishing expedition.

Yeah, Casey wasn't under arrest at the time nor was she called a POI or suspect as of yet. Baez needs to go back to law school.

Casey Anthony attorney Jose Baez slapped with formal sanction, $583 bill
Defense attorney Jose Baez must pay $583 to the prosecution

Chief Judge Belvin Perry today filed his written order hitting attorney Jose Baez with a sanction for a "willful violation" of an earlier court order to turn over expert witness discovery information to the prosecution.

As a result, Baez will have to pay $583.73 in prosecutor's "attorney's fees" and provide written reports for all expert witnesses.

Those reports must include "a complete statement of opinions the witnesses will express and the reasons for those opinions, and any data or other information considered by the witnesses in forming their opinions and conclusions."

The report of defense expert Dr. Kenneth Furton will be filed within 10 days and the reports of the other experts will come within 20 days.

Judge won't seal Anthony witness list

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A judge is refusing to seal a list of witnesses who may be used at the trial of a Florida mother charged with killing her 2-year-old daughter.

Well, I was hoping the witness list would be sealed for the sake of these witnesses not being harassed by the cyberspace bullies.
