Another girl missing. Her mom's boyfriend was the last to see her. Mom's boyfriend lives with Hailey and her mom. The bio dad and his 16 year old son live across the street. She apparently went missing on the way to a sleepover at her friend's house, but the friend said that there was no plan in place and Hailey never arrived. Blood hounds reportedly traced scent to local motel. Reward offered. Nancy grace had bio mom and bio dad on program Tues 1/4. Praying she is found soon...

Below is an update on this 9th day of Hailey's disappearance. Sad that she was classified as a possible runaway for so many days. The list of things LE are doing now seem to be things that are done within the first days of a "missing person" classified case. I hope she did just run away, but it doesn't feel like she left on her own will...

COLORADO CITY, Texas -- Now into the ninth day of searching, five different agencies and all sorts of tools are being used to help find 13-year-old Hailey Dunn.
Texas Rangers have been at the missing Colorado City teen's home all day collecting evidence.
Rangers spent a considerable amount of time collecting evidence from a shed in the home's back yard.
Authorities tell us in order to issue an Amber Alert, there must be evidence of an abduction, which could be why they're collecting evidence nine days after the teen disappeared.
Also Wednesday, we spoke to a family member, Hailey's uncle, who says he was given a polygraph test. Hailey's father, Clint Dunn, tells us, he was also questioned by the FBI.
One key player hasn't been seen or heard from since early this afternoon; Billie Jean Dunn, the mother of Hailey left her house with Texas Rangers and hasn't been in contact with family members since, according to her son.
Some local residents even took to the streets themselves this afternoon to look for the missing 13-year-old.
Anyone with information that could aide authorities in finding Haily is asked to call a tip line at: 325-728-5294.

I hope that everyone in the family and the mom's bf are cleared quickly and Hailey is found safe and sound. Tomorrow is 10 days missing. If she was abducted, the abductor has a huge lead at this point...

I too hope Hailey is found soon. We also have a 16 y/o girl from Union County NC who went missing in the Baltimore area. She was visiting her half-sister after Christmas.

Even if she left willingly, it doesn't mean she left safely. Why do the police often forget that? Sickos cultivate these relationships and draw these children into their web.

Good point Maat. Even if it was appropriate to consider her a possible runaway, her family and friends have assured LE that there was no sign of trouble or her wanting to leave and no history of running away. So, why didn't the police seize the computers and phones right away to see if she had been in secret contact with someone? They are searching all Hailey's communications now - hope it leads to her and that she's still alive....I don't blame LE for focusing on the family and the best friend, but they could have been investigating other possibilities at the same time.

Colorado City, TX—The boyfriend of Hailey Dunn's mother has refused to take polygraph tests pertaining to the disappearance of the missing 13-year-old and hasn't been seen since Wednesday morning, according to members of the Dunn family.
Hailey’s older brother, David Dunn, told KTAB's Priscilla Luong that Shawn Adkins had refused to take two polygraph tests Wednesday. According to a report from the CBS affiliate in Midland, Adkins signed the paperwork to take a third but then refused to take it and left the building.
The Texas Rangers have yet to confirm or deny these developments being reported by family members.
On Wednesday, Texas Rangers searched the home occupied by Billie Dunn, Adkins, Hailey, and David.
Thursday morning, David Dunn told KTAB News his mother was sleeping inside the family's home after spending the evening at the law enforcement center.
According to Billie Dunn, Adkins spoke to Hailey at 3 p.m. on December 27. Hailey said she was headed to her dad's house, located just across a field, then to a friend's house to spend the night. She never showed up at either location.
Bloodhounds tracked Hailey's trail Friday to a motel located near her home.
According to the Colorado City Record, crews went out on horseback and foot Wednesday searched wooded areas out the outskirts of Colorado City.
The Colorado City Police Department tried to issue an Amber Alert three times, but with no evidence of an abduction, Hailey's case failed to meet the criteria, according to Pete Kampfer, City Manager of Colorado City
"Of course as soon as we get that evidence, and get closer to that, on issuance of an Amber Alert, we're going to be right on top of it," Kampfer said, speaking on behalf of the CCPD.
The reward has grown to $25,000 for tips that lead law enforcement to Hailey Dunn.

I personally don't put much weight into lie detector tests; they are wrong nearly 40% of the time according to research statistics. Nervousness, personality characteristics, medication, polygrapher bias... can contribute to a wrong results. Mom's boyfriend is said to have been cooperative to this point, but I am wondering why all of the intense focus back on the house he lives in with Hailey and her mom during the time he was with LE. Then mom is escorted by LE to the station and gone for several hours. Then bio dad says he thinks Hailey has been abducted and he will be hitting the interstate to look for her "as soon as he gets his vehicle running again". Odd statement - anyone can get a hold of a car if they want one; I'm sure a rental agency would even donate one if asked (great advertising opp). Personally, I don't think he should hit the interstate anyway; he is too emotional and probably exhausted - he could end up hurting himself or others. But, I still thought the statement was odd. Could be the exhaustion and feeling of helplessness spurred the statement. It is confirmed that Hailey's mom and uncles have taken polys, but I couldn't find confirmation of polys to her bio dad (though he reportedly was interviewed by FBI) nor her 16 year old brother, nor her best friend. Lot's going on after days of delay...
Very interested in finding out who Hailey communicated with (phone and computer) for the days and hours leading up to her disppearance....

After hearing all I have about polygraphs, I would probably refuse, too. I hope he had nothing to do with it, but the polygraph info means nothing to me anymore. If he did anything, I hope they get all the proof they need to do whatever they want to him, but I hope they are looking elsewhere, too.

A small Texas town is upset that the state is refusing to issue an Amber Alert for a 13-year-old cheerleader who has been missing for more than a week.
The Colorado City Police have requested the alert three times since Hailey Dunn, a middle school student, was reported missing Dec. 28 by her mother, Billie Dunn.
The girl was thought to be spending Monday night at a nearby friend's home, but did not return home the next morning, the police said. The friend later said she was not expecting a visit from Dunn.

Hailey Darlene Dunn, a student and cheerleader at Colorado City Middle School in Colorado City, Texas, was reported missing on Dec. 28, according to the authorities (Colorado City Police Department).

The mother said she met Shawn Adkins on myspace, she also stated they both failed polygraphs.
I hope they find her safe. These children should never be considered runaways from the beginning. I believe Hailey was gone over 30 hours before they even realized she was never at the friend's house.
