On June 16, 2008 Johnny French, the salesperson at the Blockbuster video store reported that Casey rented a film about a kidnapper and a killer called Untraceable and another film called Jumper about a mother who abandons her five year old child.

Here's the cover for Untraceable. Remind you of Caylee with a heart shaped sticker?

Former Anthony Attorney: Casey Lied
Murder Trial For Casey Anthony To Begin In May

POSTED: Wednesday, April 13, 2011
UPDATED: 10:01 pm EDT April 13, 2011

ORLANDO, Fla. -- One of the attorneys Casey Anthony confided in to prepare for her murder trial told the CBS News show "48 Hours Mystery" that her former client lied when she said a nanny kidnapped her daughter, Caylee.

Linda Kenney Baden, who left the defense team in October, said, "She lied. Sure. I think everyone knows that was a lie," referring to Casey’s claim that Caylee was kidnapped by a babysitter named Zenaida Gonzalez.

Is she permitted to give out this information or is this just her opinion?

This is the latest to surface, a photo of Casey on July 4, 2008. Some are saying the partying at Fusion shots are "modelling for Fusion" shots.

Whereas this shot, is a simple generic photo of Casey on July 4, 2008.

Never seen the girl look soooo happy!

That photo of Casey is indefensible! Gotcha, partygirl Casey! You sure do look carefree in that photo with no concern for a "kidnapped" child! Oh, I can hear you now: you were looking for the nanny amongst your friends.

What was it that LKB said-"Casey's actions are her own worst enemy."

This photo was taken on July 4, 2008, the day after she got her La Bella Vita ("Beautiful Life") tattoo. Looks and sounds like Casey was pretty darn happy during that time frame!

Could this be part of the blame George strategy?

Local 6 Video May Be Evidence In Anthony Case

Video Shows Roll Of Duct Tape

UPDATED: 6:46 am EDT April 19, 2011

~Snipped~

In August 2008 -- three weeks after Caylee Anthony was reported missing -- Local 6 News joined her grandfather, George, in a grocery store parking lot as he was passing out fliers.

About a year and a half later, while reviewing that video, Local 6 noticed a roll of duct tape lying on a table.

Visually, it appears similar to the extremely rare industrial grade fire-resistant duct tape that prosecutors said was wrapped around Caylee Anthony's skull.

Another piece of tape found on a gas can inside the Anthony's garage also seemed to match this roll, Local 6 News reported.

Casey Anthony's lawyers have turned over a recording of the news report to prosecutors, suggesting they will use video of that duct tape at trial to defend their client.

From the link that J4A provided:

However, the defense could also suggest that Caylee Anthony's kidnapper stole the duct tape from the table and planted it with the body in the woods to frame her family for the murder.

If the DT goes this route then their strategy is to play the jury for stupid.

I think any strategy the defense tries to use is going to insult the intelligence of the jury.

Experts predict prosecution, defense strategies for Anthony trial

By Anthony Colarossi, Orlando Sentinel
8:51 p.m. EDT, May 21, 2011

Blame it on the nanny. Blame it on the meter reader. Blame Caylee Marie's disappearance and death on someone, anyone other than her mother.

In the nearly three years it took to get here — opening statements in Casey Anthony's trial are scheduled for Tuesday — various defense theories briefly captured our attention and then fizzled.

Now that the guilt phase of her trial is at hand, the legal experts who have watched this case carefully and know it best say she has few defense options remaining.

The prevailing thought is that her defense team will continue to point the finger in another direction — this time at her family and, particularly, Casey's father, George Anthony.

One of the more provocative takes on that approach comes from Mark NeJame, who at different times has represented George and Cindy Anthony and the search group that looked for Caylee's remains nearly three years ago.

NeJame envisions Casey Anthony taking the witness stand and explaining the "accidental death" of her daughter. She then might attribute her lies, her actions and her failure to report the child's death to fear of her father, according to the prominent Orlando attorney.

Oh, I soooo hope Casey takes the stand! I want to see Ashton eat her alive! lol!

I was listening to the Levi Page Show on Blog Talk Radio and his expert, Atty. Anne Bremmer, said the "best" defense the DT had was the one where they said the body was moved to the woods when Casey was in jail. All they need to do is prove reasonable doubt.

I wonder what percentage of Casey's defense will be of her ideas? I'm betting 90%.

The defense will probably use many of Bremmer's ideas. I believe they will use three primary themes over and over again in an attempt to raise reasonable doubt.

  1. Point the finger at somebody else.
  2. Point out that the cause of death was undetermined.
  3. Try to convince the jury that Caylee was put in the woods while Casey was in jail.

I also think they are going to spend a lot of time trying to discredit Dr. Vass (decomposition odor analysis expert), Dr. Hall (forensic botanist), and Deputy Forgey (K-9 handler of dog that alerted on Casey's car). I wouldn't be surprised if the cross-examinations of those three last over a day each.

Did Baez listen to this April 3rd Levi Page Show to come up with his opening statement? I think so!

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/levipage/2011/04/04/levi-page-show

Its 60 minutes long. I listened to it and there are many, many points being made back then that we are discussing now is the DT strategy and was found in the DT opener.

Sherry, you're probably right, he can't think of anything himself. He has proven that in court.

Defense's sex-abuse claims may force Casey Anthony to testify

By Bianca Prieto, Orlando Sentinel

May 28, 2011

snipped:
Though the state has the burden of proving its case beyond a reasonable doubt, Miami-based criminal-defense attorney Daniel Lurvey said Baez now also has something to prove.

"When you come forward with something so strong, you take on an obligation to prove it," Lurvey said. "If you don't [prove it], you're really done. He's created a competing theory."

Lurvey described Baez's tactics during opening arguments as "aggressive" ones that created an "all-or-nothing" situation.

Julie, tomorrow morning JA will have his motion heard-its to stop Baez from questioning witnesses about the sexual abuse Casey claims happened or else bring in the evidence of it. Sooo, maybe Baez will have to put Casey up on the stand because that really is all he's got if he wants to continue in that vein.

hehehe Baez tried to tell the judge that the deadline for motions is past so JA couldn't bring in the motion! Backfired! He really is stoopid, isn't he?!

when these witnesses take the stand, does the state ask them about sexual abuse? If not, how the hell does Bozo get by with asking about that. I thought in cross, you can only ask about what has been presented in direct.

Am I wrong?

I'm not sure, sitemama. Does it matter where Baez is concerned? lol
I think if it were not right then HHJP would put a stop to it like he did with the photo that was not in evidence. Plus, we would have heard objections. I think if it is brought up in the OS its fair game.
