ORLANDO --
The defense is expected to call its first witness in the central Florida murder trial of Casey Anthony, who's accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter in 2008.

The prosecution has presented all its evidence and Thursday jurors will look towards Casey's attorneys to begin delivering on several promises they made at the outset to explain why the 25-year-old's child is dead.

Wednesday, the defense filed a last minute witness, who they describe as "newly" discovered.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- In its first day of presenting its case, Casey Anthony’s defense attacked the state’s lack of evidence and pointed out an FBI blunder that left key evidence contaminated.

The defense led jurors through hours of complicated scientific testimony about DNA evidence, as forensic analysts explained how they tested items in the case.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- The courtroom atmosphere became heated on Thursday as Casey Anthony's defense questioned its second witness during her murder trial. Objections, a defense mistake, and the judge's frustration, created fireworks inside the Orange County courtroom.

Thursday marks day 31, including jury selection, in Casey's murder trial. She's accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee. It also marked exactly three years since Caylee disappeared.

On Dr. Drew, they said that Judge Perry was the Prosecutor for Vasco Thompson back in 1988.

So I got me a Bailey's and Butterscotch Schnapps and watched the trial for a few hours....WTFingH was BimboBozo doing bringing all those witnesses in for only a few minutes? And why in the name of Darwin can't he remember that the IDnumber given by the forensics people is not the same thing as an exhibit number...nor is the exhibit number the same as the evidence number? WHHHHHYYYY? And when is he going to learn to use that image projector thing? WHHEEEENNN?

Shoo, I just want to know when Baez will start acting like a bona fide lawyer.

He reminds me of what my first boss said to us kids-"If you aren't busy then at least look like you are!" Baez is trying hard to look like he knows what he's doing-so far, he and his girlfriend are the only ones impressed.

My favorite part of this day....

Baez asks to strike the testimony of his own witness after mistakenly questioning her about the wrong blanket....a blanket that has not been placed into evidence by either side...all the while the picture of the blanket that is in evidence was displayed on the screen by Baez so he could talk about a different blanket. Baez, seeing this picture of this wrong blanket as well, continued to question the witness about some blanket in his head while looking right at this other/wrong blanket...the witness answered questions about the blanket in the picture for along time....until Baez suddenly realizes he is on a different page than both the witness and the picture and is forced to ask JP to strike his own witness's testimony.

Where has Baez been for the last 3 years? Not just in this example, but it seems like he hasn't kept up with much of what has been going on....he even didn't seem to know George and Cindy had talked smak about him in the jail house tapes! He's sooooo LAME!
