Casey Anthony Could Go Free After 3 Years In Jail

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Emotions are still running high after Casey Anthony was found not guilty of killing her daughter, 2-year-old daughter Caylee Marie Anthony. After she's sentenced on her lesser charges, she could walk free.

Three years after Caylee died, and a month and a half after Casey’s trial began, the jury's decision took less than 11 hours and was announced to the world on Tuesday afternoon.

The defense team gathered for a group hug with Casey just moments after the jury found her not guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, and aggravated manslaughter of a child. She was found guilty on four counts of providing false information to law enforcement, with each conviction carrying a maximum sentence of one year. The jurors, seven women and five men, would not talk to the media, and their identities were kept secret by the court.

Many in the crowd of about 500 people outside the courthouse reacted with anger after the verdict was read, chanting, "Justice for Caylee!" One man yelled, "Baby killer!"

Total injustice. There's a dead 2 year old. I'm anxious to see what happens in court tomorrow. He could make her spend another year, never know. Her lying cost the state of Florida a lot of dough........

Wouldn't it be nice if the State of Florida confiscated any profits made by Casey through appearances, story, movies and put it toward reimbursing the state of Florida for all the monies used in investigating/finding Caylee and then defending her despicable mom?

Don't forget what she owes the IRS. The state of Florida will have to get in line.

How could I forget the IRS? You're right. I just want her to get close enough to the money to see it whiz right by. I think Zanny the Nanny will be in that line too. I don't care who profits as long as it's not Casey.

Here's the thing-when Casey was convicted of check fraud she got time served. So, Casey has spent 3 years sans time spent for the check fraud and still owes time for the lying to LE. I believe it will be more than a year if maximum is given. I'd love for HHJP to sentence her to the max, but I'm not going to set myself up for a disappointment.

Can the FBI go after her for misleading them about the kidnapping?

That's right, Sherry. Time served for the check fraud, I feel time served for the lying charges should not be served concurrently with the fraud time. Judge Perry can rule that way, I would love it. But, I'm like you, not setting myself up for that. Also, can she be fined for these charges as well as jail time? I think she should be, her lies cost the state and county a lot of money.

I'm not sure about the FBI, I would love to know the answer to that! That would be federal charges...

Martha Stewart lied to the FBI and was sentenced to prison...was Casey ever questioned by an FBI agent? I'm thinking she wasn't....I think it was Orange County LE only.

She was served papers yesterday at jail for the Zenaida defamation of character civil suit. But here's the thing- she will admit lying! She was already convicted of THIS crime so all that will be done is determining the amount of $ she will pay for punitive damages.

I don't think that was ever a consideration to go to Houston. I think this is just a cover story to make ppl think that's where she is going. CA and KC have not even talked, so how could CA make a decision like that for her. KC will be a free woman on July 13th, and that also means free from CA.

She will go to stay with the Masons, and I hope they hide their check books and valuables, till they, meaning KC & Bozo, decide where she is going. I also heard she may be going to Bozo's hometown in PR. I certainly hope so, but it doesn't matter where she goes. She will be free, and she can just forget about the last 3 years as if they never happened.

She not only lies to everyone else, she also lies to herself and believes all the lies.
