His masculinity. She took it away years ago.

Wasn't offended Mama...Cindy surely needs a fashion consultant as that getup wasn't in good taste....Wonder if Carson will help her after "Dancin"....

thanks Julie and Estee. I really felt bad because sometimes my words don't come out as I want them to. No offense to any of the girls here.

Mama, you certainly did not offend me. I don't go around displaying my fat blobs. I disguise them because they are, quite honestly, unappealing to my eye and I hate that I have to look at them. (am currently dieting because of it)

What Not to Wear would have told Cindy the same thing you said about her. Disguise the blubber and don't show your bra out your armpit hole! Laughing

Thank you Lottie, and I know what you mean about having to look at my own body. Last time I was at the doctor, I weighed 157 pounds, but my family is all so small, I look fatter than that. Mine is all in the gut and but area. I don't eat much, but doctor wants me to start eating 3 meals a day. He said my body thinks I am starving it, so it is storing fat from the food I eat. So, now I have to eat 3 times a day, and not used to doing that.

That's what I was doing, mama! I didn't eat much at all but my tummy...wow...I looked 8 months pregnant! I started eating small portions 6 times a day! And I lost 8 inches off my tummy in a month!

No Estee, you and I are not wimps. The body is just starting to wear out from all we have been through the past 70 years. Take care of your back, it has to last you for many more years. That's not something that can be replaced, like those disposable organs, hearts, lungs, kidneys, and livers.

No Estee....I don't exercise because my body hurts too much. I have back and shoulder issues from 3 major accidents since 1994. What I do instead is walk a little more than I need to like parking farther away at the store and just any chance to walk a few extra steps. It's not much, but I like to think it adds up over the course of a day.

What is working for the belly fat is several things...

Eat small meals several times a day and try to stay around 1200 calories. Try to eat every 3 hours....and eat breakfast within the first hour after you wake up.

Lay off the white bread and processed sugar. Eat Wheat bread.

Drink about 8 glasses of water a day.

Make sure not to eat too much over 2500mg of salt a day. We have to have some salt for our body's electrical system to function, but too little or too much will cause water weight and bloating.

Daughter studied all this stuff when she was going to be a Personal Trainer. :)

I can't walk far because of problems with my feet and unable to breath and walk at the same time. It's not much, but I like to think it adds up over the course of a day.

I'm not trying to find a man, so I guess I will just keep my gut and but. LOL

Mama, you're too funny! Reminds me of my Grandfather when he was in his 80's and some new doctor fresh out of med school told him he needed to stop eating so much fried food and gravy made of grease because it was clogging up his arteries. Grandfather told him he was not going to live his last days worrying about that and not enjoying his food. :)

Trueblue, I have trouble walking forward, I sure couldn't walk backwards like the emoticon above. And I don't want a dancing banana, I only want bananas I can eat (on my banana, mayonnaise and peanut butter sandwiches).

Mama you are so funny I know what you mean. My next mode of transport will be a walker with the wheels on and a basket. LOL

I don't what the deal is with the feet in my family. My dad had problems with his feet. But he was a cook on a submarine in the Navy, and continued to cook when he got out of the service. He had a fabulous hamburger shop till he couldn't work anymore. He was standing on a concrete floor for 10 to 12 hours every day, 7 days a week. Then, my brother also has problems with his feet and legs. He has Parkinson's Disease as well as neuropathy of the nerves in his legs and feet. He has lots of problems walking, but still refuses to use a walker.

I worked as a waitress for many years, then managed a rest. for 12 years and had to wear heels as a waitress and as the manager. Finally, had to give it up, and went to work in an office as a sales rep and bookkeeper. Big reduction in the pay. LOL I didn't start to work as a bookkeeper till after I was 50, and that is actually what I went to college to be. But I liked the money I was making in the restraurant business too much to give it up.

I worked as sales assistant for many yrs before like you went into office work and bank work. I was on my feet all the time and lifting heavy bundles of wallpaper.
It is not until you get older that you start feeling all the pains and aches of what you did when you were young. I get it in my shoulders and back a lot of the time. Mama we have made it to threescore and ten so that is not bad and I say every day now is a plus. LOL
