Re: Just for dogs!
Here's a coding system that I got in an e-mail a while back. It tells you how you can tell where your (people or pet) food product comes from by looking at the bar code. (That includes that tiny little 0 on the left of the bar code.)
However, you may now refer to the barcode -
remember if the first 3 digits are:
00 - 09 ... USA & CANADA
30 - 37 ... FRANCE
40 - 44 ... GERMANY
47 ... Taiwan
49 ... JAPAN
50 ... UK
690-692 ... CHINA

Photos: Thanksgiving goes to the dogs at Houston shelter

Animals staying at the Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP) shelter in Houston had something special to be thankful for this holiday season thanks to their friends at Rover Oaks Pet Resort. The staff at Rover Oaks roasted turkeys hand-delivered the tasty treats Wednesday to the animals spending the holiday in the shelter, awaiting their forever homes.

Many from the greater Houston TV viewing area might remember beloved Radar who captured the hearts of many when he showed up at KPRC's studio and they "adopted" him in 2004.
Besides being the "weather dog", Radar made guest appearances and brought awareness to many important dog issues!
Eventually Radar went on to live the good life with one of the KPRC managers and his family.
Well Radar made an appearance on our local Wednesday night news! The video will make you smile!
Good to see Radar again!

HOUSTON - In 2004, a small mixed-breed mutt arrived at Local 2 to become a fixture of the KPRC weather team. Viewers named him Radar
For three years, Radar entertained viewers of all ages through public appearances, events and nightly dog walking forecasts.
The shy little puppy that came onto the TV scene quickly became a huggable, lovable fur-ball that loved the spotlight and taking pictures.

I was able to watch the annual Thanksgiving Day Dog Show from Philadelphia...Best in Show was captured by a Wirehaired Terrier...There were some beautiful dogs there as usual...I do enjoy watching the Toy Group as they prance on tippy toe around the ring...Each dog has it's own personality and is proudly presented by experienced handlers...If you have never watched a Dog Show you really have missed an experience...
