Tyler Dasher: Missing Missouri baby seen carried away in blue blanket
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2011



Tyler Daniel Dasher, 18 months old, is missing. He was put to bed last night in his home on the 7700 block of Clevedon in Affton, Missouri and was gone the next morning.

The mother, Shelbie said she overslept and when she woke up Tuesday morning around 11:30 to check on him, he was gone. The grandmother, Christine was also living in the home.

Witnesses report seeing a man carrying a baby in a blue blanket, that matches the blue blanket that was in Tyler's crib. Confirmation has come in that the blue blanket IS missing from Tyler's crib yet.

The man is described as as a white male, 30's wearing a dark-colored hoodie and dark sweat pants.

Tyler is described as blond, blue-eyed, with a red birthmark and four upper and lower teeth.

Police Search For Missing 1 Year-old Affton Boy

Updated 3:15: Police spokesman Rick Eckhardt says investigators have made contact with the father of the missing child, and detectives are questioning him.

AFFTON, Mo. (KMOX) – A SARAA Alert has been issued for a missing 1 year-old boy from Affton.

Tyler Dasher is described as:

one year old white male,
two feet tall,
weighing about 20 pounds
with blond hair
and blue eyes.
He has a red birthmark on his left shoulder and four upper and four lower teeth.

Witnesses have told the police they saw a man walking along a nearby street with a child wrapped in a blue blanket, matching the one that is in Tyler's crib. Tyler's blanket is missing.

Affton is about 250 miles or four hours away from Kansas City, Missouri where baby Lisa Irwin's home is.

The man is described as as a white male, 30's wearing a dark-colored hoodie and dark sweat pants.

Body Of Baby Found Near River Des Peres, No Positive ID

Dead Child Found in St. Louis Suburb Near Cemetery

AFFTON, Mo. – Police say the body of a small child has been found near a cemetery about a mile from where 1-year-old Tyler Dasher went missing.

St. Louis County Police Chief Tim Fitch says the child has not been positively identified, however he says there are no other reports of missing children in the area.

I was thinking the same thing, Estee. If it's not Tyler, is it Lisa? Or could the abductor of one be the same abductor of the other one?

So sad.

I sure hope that there was enough evidence found to help solve who done it...SO Sad...Poor baby...

Missing toddler found dead in St. Louis suburb

(AP) AFFTON, Mo. — A small body found Tuesday near a St. Louis County cemetery is that of a 1-year-old boy reported missing hours earlier from his home, police said.

But the medical examiner who confirmed the body as that of Tyler Dasher did not immediately determine the cause of death, county police spokesman Rick Eckhard said.

Police did not plan to release any more information until Wednesday morning.

UPDATED at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday with arrest

AFFTON • St. Louis County police have made an arrest in the death of 13-month-old Tyler Dasher.

Police released no information on who was arrested, but said details would come once the prosecutor has a chance to review the case. Police are calling the death a homicide.

At 5:42 a.m. Wednesday, St. Louis County police issued a news release, saying that one person has been taken into custody. Police said that person hasn't been formally booked and gave no further details on the suspect.

Affton, Mo (KSDK) - A person who was escorted by investigators to the scene Wednesday where 13-month-old Tyler Dasher's was found yesterday has been taken to St. Louis County Police Headquarters in Clayton.

Police were spotted Wednesday morning leading a person around the crime scene. The person then got into a car with investigators and was driven back to the Dasher home. The person had on a grey hood and was escorted back into the home in Affton. After about 30 minutes, the person was escorted back to the vehicle and drove to Clayton.

Affton, Mo (KSDK) - A person named Shelby Dasher, which also happens to be the same name as the mother of Tyler Dasher, was booked on a 24-hour hold at 2:00 a.m. Wednesday at the county jail, according to a St. Louis County jail supervisor.

Shelby Dasher has not been named a suspect in the death of Tyler and has not been charged with a crime.
