FORT WAYNE, Ind.(Indiana's NewsCenter) --- The Allen County Coroner says the brutally murdered 9-year-old was 'systematically' dismembered.
In a statement issued early Tuesday evening regarding the brutal death of Aliahna Lemmon, the coroner didn't hold back in describing the brutality of the deed.

"On Monday, December 26, 2011, the Allen County Sheriff's Department and other law enforcement agencies developed significant leads into the investigation of a missing 9-year-old Fort Wayne girl, Aliahna Lemmon. With reason to believe that a deceased child was nearby, the Allen County Coroner's office and other forensic investigators responded to two separate locations, one of which was the Northway mobile home park near North Clinton Street and Diebold Road, from where Aliahna had disappeared, and another at a nearby convenience store/gas station. Human remains believed to be that of a female juvenile were found at both locations. Officials from the Allen County Coroner's office and police crime scene technicians painstakingly documented the areas and recovered evidence. The remains were transported to the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center."

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – According to the State of Indiana, a murder can qualify for the death penalty if there are specific aggravating circumstances.
Under Indiana law, the aggravating circumstances that qualify for the death penalty include the commission of a murder of an individual who is under the age of 12, if the defendant was molesting or raping the victim and if the victim was dismembered.

Three felony charges were filed in Allen Superior Court today against the man who police say has admitted to killing and dismembering 9-year-old Aliahna Lemmon last week.
Michael L. Plumadore, 39, is charged with murder, abuse of a corpse and removing a body from the scene of a suspicious death “with intent to hinder a criminal investigation.” All are felonies, and Chief Allen County Deputy Prosecutor Mike McAlexander said today the office “has not precluded” the possibility of seeking the death penalty against Plumadore.

Plumadore was charged with Murder, Abuse of Corpse, a Class D felony, and Violent or Suspicious Death of a Person; Moving Body from Scene, another Class D felony.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, under Indiana law, Plumadore could face 45 to 60 years for the murder charge and another six months to three years for each of the other two offenses.

The man who allegedly killed and dismembered a 9-year-old Fort Wayne girl was accused of stalking and sexually harassing a 13-year-old girl while living in Iowa last year, but the complaint against him was dismissed, according to court documents.
A Centerville, Iowa, woman asked for a protective order against Michael L. Plumadore in November 2010 to keep him away from her daughter, according to the documents and an official with the Appanoose County clerk of court’s office.
The woman said Plumadore was harassing her daughter by “stalking her, sending her explicit sexual text messages and photographs,” according to the documents. The girl’s mother also said he sent pictures of his genitals and messages telling the girl he “wanted to get her pregnant.”

The two younger sisters of slain 9-year-old Aliahna Lemmon have been removed from parental custody by Indiana Child Protective Services. Michelle L. Savieo, the local head of Child Protective Services, confirmed the action Friday afternoon.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) -- A prosecutor in Indiana isn't saying whether anyone besides a man who is already in custody is suspected in the death of a 9-year-old girl -- but he says "nothing has been ruled out."

It was heartbreaking watching the video of Aliahna's best friend. I don't know what to say about this case. Plumadore takes evil to a new level and it's a shame that people like him are allowed to walk the earth.
