Putnam County investigators now consider this a homicide case

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -
Five-year-old Haleigh Cummings went to bed Feb. 9, 2009, in her dad's mobile home in Satsuma. Her dad, Ronald, was working the night shift, so the last person to see Haliegh that night was his 16-year-old girlfriend, Misty Croslin.

The next morning, Croslin told Putnam County investigators she woke up to find the back door propped open and Haleigh gone.

An Amber Alert was issued and a massive search began. On the ground, from the air, with dogs, by horseback and in the water, the entire community came together together to help. Ponds were searched and one was even drained.

Five-year-old Haleigh Cummings disappeared from her Satsuma home three years ago Friday, and despite thousands of leads and intense media scrutiny, the case has never been solved.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office still aggressively pursues leads and Sheriff Jeff Hardy said that effort will continue, according to a press release.

Haleigh captured my heart 3 years ago and I will never, ever forget her.

Haleigh needs to be found and brought home to her family.

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- Friday, February 10th, 2012 marks the three year anniversary of the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings.

During the early morning hours of February 10, 2009, Cummings was reported missing from her home in Satsuma. She has not been seen since that night.

Today not only marks the anniversary of her disappearance but also three years of investigative efforts. In a news release, Putnam County Sheriff Jeff Hardy said there have been 168 CrimeStopper tips regarding the Haleigh Cummings investigation in just the last 12 months.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -
Three years since her disappearance Haleigh Cummings' family remains hopeful she will someday return to them.

The little girl disappeared from her home in Satsuma the night of February 9, 2009.

Since that time her paternal grandmother, Teresa Neves, says life has been near impossible.

"I can't tell you how hard it is to get up everyday and hope that it's the day Haleigh comes home," Neves said.

Holding Out Hope: Family's vigil marks anniversary of her disappearance

WELAKA - Friends and loved ones packed into a Fourth Avenue home Friday night to keep the missing, now-8-year-old Haleigh Cummings' name and face known and remembered.

The home, belonging to Haleigh's great-grandmother Annette Sykes, has been the site for multiple prayer vigils since the little girl disappeared three years ago in Satsuma.

A large poster remains outside with two photos of the little girl and a request for anyone who has seen her to call Crime Stoppers at (888) 277-8477.

As rain started to drizzle, around 30 people gathered inside to light candles in tribute, with a table of teddy bears and photos of the little girl in the front of the room.

WELAKA, Fla. -- Three years after little Haleigh Cummings disappeared her family is staying hopeful.

"We believe she's out there," step great-grandmother Barbie Squires said.

The 5-year-old up and vanished in the middle of the night. Soon after, police and volunteers scoured the woods and river around her house, but no Haleigh.

Three years have gone by and still there have been no charges made in the homicide of Haleigh Cummings, who vanished from the mobile home of her father in 2009. Haleigh’s father Ron, his lover Misty Croslin, and others connected to them, are in prison for 15+ years after getting busted dealing drugs. Investigators are hoping to sweat them until they break and finally reveal where Haleigh’s body was disposed of.

I’ve made it no secret that I think both Ron and Misty are responsible for what happened to Haleigh, or have knowledge regarding Haleigh’s demise. I’ve always felt the two trashy druggies know exactly what happened to her. Their weird behavior is well documented and there is no need for me to rehash it. I think they are both evil low life’s… Always have and always will.
