Drew Peterson Case - Upcoming Trial

As many of you know, the Drew Peterson trial should be soon. To my knowledge, a trial date has not been set yet.

InSession - TRU-TV has indicated they are interested in providing a Live Stream and covering the trial on Tru-Tv if the Judge will allow cameras in the court room.

The State of Illinois is now allowing cameras in the Court Room in certain counties. It also depends if the judge of a trial will allow cameras in his court room.

This thread is set up so that you may post any articles about Drew Peterson and discuss Drew.

There is a thread for Stacy Peterson. Articles regarding Stacy should be posted on her thread.

I know there were several Hinksters hoping Valhall would cover the Drew Peterson trial.

Producers didn’t bother waiting until after Drew Peterson’s much-anticipated trial to turn the tale of his dead and missing wives into a made-for-TV movie.

But as Illinois continues its experiment with cameras in its criminal courtrooms, crime buffs shouldn’t expect to watch the real thing from the comfort of their own living rooms. Will County’s top judge said cameras likely won’t be allowed into the former Bolingbrook police officer’s trial.

I am a follower of this case, as far back as the "old" Greta Van Susteren days.

So sorry to hear that it won't be available to watch. Drew is such a total "piece of work", I would like to see his face when he finally faces justice for his actions.

Thanks for setting up this thread. So sorry as well to hear it will not be televised. This guy needs to face the music and spend the rest of his sorry life in prison.

CA Lady, I too am disappointed that IN SESSION isnt going to be covering this, I had hoped they would but apprently no cameras.

imo, Big Daddy/Drew is guilty of 2 murders, but the analyst have talked about the lack of evidence. IF the conversations of former wives weren't allowed in, the State might be sunk. Credibility issues with some such as the brother in law & the blue barrel, I am worried about a conviction, it would be terrible if the scumbag walked on these murders.

tess, I have found Big Daddy to be one of the most offensive scumbags that murdered imo, all that pandering to the media & arrogance. I too hope he spends the rest of his miserable life in prison.

A hearing is underway to discuss scheduling and to hear arguments on several motions filed by the defense. Those motions include:

Drew Peterson is set to go on trial — again.

The former Bolingbrook police sergeant was first scheduled to go on trial for murder in 2010, but a last-minute appeal by prosecutors in the highly publicized case triggered two years of delays. During that time, the original presiding judge retired, and a Lifetime movie starring Rob Lowe as Peterson aired on television.
