NFL Football!!!!
The NFL season kicks off Thursday September 10 with Tennessee at Pittsburgh. It should be a fun season. I predict that the Detroit Lions will be much improved and win at least four games this year.

Are we ready for some football !!
I'm not gonna throw the Cincinnati Bengals in as a contender for the Super Bowl.

JforA, you got Detroit winning four? Out of sixteen? Aw, bless their hearts. I see the Packers getting another Super Bowl ring, and Brett Favre will retire, AGAIN.

Re: NFL Football!!!!
The Lions are trying to end their 18 game losing streak today. So far they are up 3-0, but Matthew Stafford has already thrown his fourth interception of the year and still hasn't thrown a touchdown pass.
I know it's too early to tell, but I hope Stafford doesn't end up being another QB draft mistake for the Lions like Chuck Long, Andre Ware, and Joey Harrington were. I thought they should have drafted only for offensive line help or for defense, and then worried about the skill positions later.

The Lions finally broke their losing steak Sunday against the Redskins of all teams. That is a team that has almost always beat the Lions since I was a little kid. I think this makes the Lions the first team this season to have more wins than they had last season.

The Packers did not lose today. Of course, they didn't play today.

The Packers are playing Favre and the Vikings tomorrow night. That should be a good one.

I can't believe the Patriots beat the Titans 59-0. I guess I don't feel as bad about the Packers beating the Lions 26-0.

Re: NFL Football!!!!
Ok, this should tell you a little bit about my wacky personality.
Let me start by saying, I LOVE Football! I can't get enough of football season. OK, here comes the wacky part.
I was born and raised in Illinois and have always been a Chicago Bears fan. That will never change!
However, as much as I love the Bears, I am an even bigger Brett Favre fan! I have loved him since I can remember. Now, this past June, I finally move to WI and Brett Favre is no longer a Packer. UGH! So, NOW I am a Minnesota Viking Fan!
SIX AND O BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Someone in this thread said da Bears. So, I am sure you can understand how my love of these three teams is SO odd! Only the three biggest rivals in football. And I have loved them ALL!
But with a clear disclaimer, I love Brett Favre! So, wherever HE goes, I will follow! Oh yea, I forgot last year I loved the Jets while he was there. LOL!

That is surprising Piper. I thought the Bears were a decent team this year.
For once the Lions aren't losing. Of course that's because they aren't playing this week.

At least one of us still has a team in the playoffs. I'm sure that Tigermom is very happy that the Ravens beat the Patriots.

Oh, she's stoked J4A! I talked to her earlier today. I'm sure she's been doing a Ravens dance all afternoon!

I am still loving the fact that the Ravens pecked the patriots apart and eliminated the pretty boy from New England. The looks on his face while being sacked by Ray Lewis were unforgettable.
Now they are heading to Indy to take on Peyton Manning.
Hopefully this time tomorrow night the Ravens will have sacked Manning at least once and Ray Rice will have a TD or Two.
